From beginningless time until now, all the ten non-virtuous actions committed through body, speech, and mind, the five heinous crimes, the five near heinous crimes, the four heavy offenses, the eight wrongdoings, stealing from the Three Jewels, and other sinful non-virtuous actions, whether done by oneself, caused to be done by others, or rejoiced in, all such misdeeds are confessed with intense remorse. Thinking, 'I will not do them again,' and as explained during Vajrasattva practice and recitation, confessing with the mindfulness of the purity of the four opponent powers, all sins and obscurations are visualized as a mass of blackness gathered on one's tongue. Light radiating from the body, speech, and mind of the assembly of deities in the field of merit strikes it, purifying it as if washing away dirt. Then, recite: 'All non-virtuous actions of the three doors, I confess in the state of clear light Dharmakaya.' If one confesses in this way, the sign that sins and obscurations are purified is that, just as dye takes to a cloth that is free of dirt, if sins are purified, the mind of enlightenment arises in the mindstream. The Omniscient Great One said: 'Just as a cloth cleansed by washing, when dyed, becomes a new color.' In the Sutra Requested by Maitreya Lion's Roar, it says: 'Whatever sinful deeds are done out of ignorance, should be confessed and purified. The wise, having confessed their faults, will no longer dwell together with karma.' In the Vinaya-vibhanga, it says: 'Whoever has committed sinful deeds, can completely counteract them with virtuous deeds, just as the sun and moon emerge from the clouds, and in this world, their light shines forth.' In the Buddha Treasury Sutra, it says: 'Even killing one's parents and self-realized Buddhas can be liberated by meditating on emptiness.' Fourth, the antidote to jealousy is the limb of rejoicing. The Omniscient Great One said: 'In the boundless accumulation of merit of beings, I always rejoice.' As such, the great turning of the wheel of Dharma by the Victorious Ones for the sake of sentient beings, the vast conduct of the Bodhisattvas, and the merit and virtuous roots that contribute to the liberation of sentient beings, if one rejoices in these, one will equally obtain their virtuous roots. In the Compendium Sutra, it says: 'The Mount Meru of the three thousand worlds can be measured by weighing it on a scale.'

English

The merit of rejoicing is not like that. Moreover, in the "Samantabhadra's Conduct and Vows," it is said: "All Buddhas of the ten directions and their sons, solitary realizers, those in training and beyond training, and all sentient beings, whatever merit they have, I rejoice in all of it." As it is said, I rejoice in all the collections of merit gathered by the two truths. It should be said like this. Fifth, the limb of urging the turning of the Dharma wheel, which is the antidote to ignorance, is: The Omniscient King of Dharma said, "In order to liberate all beings without exception, I urge the turning of the supreme Dharma wheel." As it is said, in the past, our teacher, the compassionate one, having attained complete and perfect enlightenment, thought, "This profound Dharma that I have realized is difficult for others to comprehend. Even if I were to teach it to others, they would not understand it, and it would only be in vain for myself. Therefore, I should remain alone in a solitary place." Thus, he thought: "I have realized a Dharma that is profound, peaceful, free from elaboration, luminous, and unconditioned, like nectar. Even if I were to teach it to anyone, they would not understand it. Therefore, I will remain in the silent forest." Thus, he remained without teaching the Dharma. Regarding these, the Omniscient Jigme Lingpa said: "Because its essence is without characteristics, it is profound. Because its nature is inconceivable, it is peaceful. Because it does not fall into the extremes of permanence and annihilation, it is free from elaboration. Because its dharmata is free from separation, attainment, and abandonment, it is luminous. Because it transcends the objects of conceptual thought, it is unconditioned." Thus, he made a commentary on the meaning. This is also said to be the sutra with the five qualities of emptiness. Thus, when he remained without teaching the Dharma, Brahma offered a golden wheel with a thousand spokes, and Indra offered a white conch shell spiraling to the right, and made prayers. Likewise, in the countless realms of the ten directions, after attaining complete and perfect enlightenment, they proclaimed the greatness of the Dharma, and regarded the Dharma as rare, and in order to complete the assembly of those who urge, I respectfully join my palms to all those who remain without teaching the Dharma, like Brahma, with aspiration and diligence, and with generosity, I urge them. Like the venerable Subhuti, with questions and answers, the wise urge them. Like the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, and the secret
