When asked, "Didn't you kill someone?" he replied, "You, who can see the spirits of dead lamas, don't you even know if I killed someone or not? The main reason I came is that I wanted to go to a monastery, and I didn't know where to go, so I came to ask you for advice." After saying this with a joking tone, Hor Lama said, "Oh, since there is no crime, I am relieved. Which monastery do you need to go to? Come to change your clothes after seven days, and I can guide you." After that, he went to Chuwar Valley, hid his horse and gun, etc., prepared his luggage, accepted the behavior of Acho Birawa as a renunciate, and then returned to Yukhark Monastery to wait at Hor Lama's place. One day, when he was circumambulating the assembly hall of the monastery, a lama from a monk's room on the north side of the monastery said, "Please come up." After approaching him, the lama asked, "Do you know how to read?" He said, "I know a little." The lama then gave him a copy of the "Nomenclature of Manjushri" (འཇམ་དཔལ་མཚན་བརྗོད།) and told him to look at it. He pretended to proofread it, and the lama gave him an oral transmission. Before leaving, he gave him a piece of cloth and said, "Make a hat out of this." After he returned, he told Hor Lama what had happened. Hor Lama said, "Oh, that is Jialam Tsering, the protector of Yukhark Monastery, a great accomplished one. This is a good omen, indicating that you will become like a hat from the Amdo region (མདོ་སྨད།)." A few days later, Hor Lama said to him, "Now you should go to Serlha-tse Monastery (གསེར་ལྷ་རྩེ་དགོན།) for the time being, and go to see Gyangkang Kyabgon Rinpoche (གྱང་ཁང་སྐྱབས་མགོན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ།). I will write him a letter introducing you. This time, an old monk from Lhatse Monastery will also go with you." At that time, the old monk Sonam Nyongpa from Lhatse Monastery was returning, and also the old monk Shidor from Yukho, and the three of them set out together. There, the lama of Lha Monastery not only made him carry dancing costumes and other items, but also because the old lama was very fond of joking, he often joked on the road. It is said that there was such a thing. Gradually, on the way through Yume, some locals asked them where they were going, and they replied that they were going to a monastery. The locals said that if you want to go to a monastery, you should go upwards from Yuto, towards Kapal Zoksang, but...

Even if someone ridiculed, saying, "You flow downwards like jade water with your right hand, unlike anyone else," later, the one who said he was "unlike anyone else" praised him for having very auspicious connections. Afterwards, on the way, he saw some gold miners catching many fish and drying them, and he felt intense compassion, unable to bear it, and shed many tears. It is said that his temperament used to be somewhat rough, but from then on, his heart was moistened by compassion. In this way, after enduring many days of hardship, he finally arrived at Lhatse Monastery in Serme (gser smad). There, he stayed for a few days without finding a place to stay. An old monk named Shidor (shis rdor) asked two old monks of Lha Monastery, whom he knew, to help him borrow a place to stay. The two monks only lent him a room in a lower house and asked him to pay for the accommodation by carrying firewood. At that time, Lhatse Kyabgon Rinpoche Sangye Pelden (sangs rgyas dpal ldan) was in retreat at Chuyi (chu yi) Phyar (phyar) hermitage, so it was difficult to see him casually. Therefore, the two monks said to him, "You will definitely have difficulty seeing him." One day, he took Lama Zhenpen's (bla ma gzhan phan) letter and went to the hermitage. It happened to coincide with Rinpoche giving post-retreat meetings to some local people. Therefore, he not only met Rinpoche but also offered Lama Horla's (bla ma hor bla) letter, told his story, and requested to be accepted. Kyabgon Rinpoche gladly accepted him with love and immediately began teaching the preliminary practice of Kunsang Zhallung. Afterwards, he gradually opened the doors to profound Dharma teachings such as the Bodhisattvacharyavatara, and the minds of the teacher and student became one. Because he had no books, the Lama himself lent him his own manuscripts. At that time, when he returned to his residence in the evening, an old monk asked him if he had met Rinpoche. He replied, "Not only did I meet him, but he also taught the Dharma and lent me his manuscripts." The old monk recognized the Lama's manuscripts and immediately felt that he was a special person, and moved his residence upstairs. Later, the Lama had him practice austerities at Chuyi (chu yi) Phyar (phyar) hermitage. Once, the Lama bestowed barley in Dokhok (rdo khog).
