For places with ignorance, the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion will enter, which are actions arising from ignorance. The cognition of the individual forms of things, this is consciousness. Arising together with consciousness are the four aggregates of clinging, or these are name and form. Thus, from the cycle of the twelve links of dependent origination, starting with ignorance, in the places of the three realms and six destinies, from beginningless time, suffering is produced. Also, in the Compendium, the prince said to the mother: Alas! Mother, non-human wisdom dakini! From beginningless time in the past, wandering in the three realms and six destinies, what is the root cause of wandering? Please tell me. The mother said: Ema, well done, son of noble family! The root of the six realms of samsara is, great ignorance and delusion, revolving like a wheel of fire. From this, the dependent origination of samsara arises. From action arises consciousness. From that arise name and form and the six sense bases. Contact, feeling, and craving increase. The end of craving is grasping and existence. The fruit of birth, old age, and death ripens. Sorrow and suffering are inconceivable. It revolves like a wheel of fire. The sentient beings wandering in the three realms, because they do not recognize themselves, are like a prince fallen among commoners. Thus it is said. Differentiating slightly from that, there are three ways of recognizing, as follows. So, what is ignorance? Regarding these six elements themselves, perceiving them as one, perceiving them as whole, perceiving them as permanent, perceiving them as stable, perceiving them as enduring, perceiving them as happiness, perceiving them as self, perceiving them as sentient beings, perceiving them as life, perceiving them as the one who is born, perceiving them as the one who nourishes, perceiving them as a person, perceiving them as an individual, perceiving them as born of power, perceiving them as a child of power, perceiving them as "I", perceiving them as "mine", like this, the various forms of not understanding, these are called ignorance. Thus, for places with ignorance, the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion will enter, which are actions arising from ignorance. The cognition of the individual forms of things, this is consciousness. Arising together with consciousness are the four aggregates of clinging, or these are name and form. The faculties that rely on this are the six sense bases. The three dharmas

The gathering of three is contact. Experiencing contact is feeling. Attachment or craving to feeling is desire. Its increase is grasping. The action that generates rebirth from grasping is existence. The arising of aggregates from that cause is birth. Its ripening is aging. Its destruction is death. Dying and being deluded, together with manifest attachment, the complete inner suffering is sorrow. Speaking words of sorrowful suffering is lamentation. Experiencing discomfort with the five aggregates of consciousness is suffering. Having attention, mental suffering is displeasure. And whatever proximate afflictions are related to this are delusion. It is ignorance because of the great darkness. Because of acting, it is action. Because of distinguishing, it is consciousness. Because of being a support, it is name and form. The gate of birth is the six sense bases. Because of contact, it is contact. Because of experiencing, it is feeling. Because of thirst, it is desire. Because of near grasping, it is grasping. Because of rebirth, it is existence. Because of the arising of aggregates, it is birth. Because of its ripening, it is aging. Because of its destruction, it is death. Because of sorrow, it is sorrow. Because of speaking it, it is lamentation. Because of harming the body, it is suffering. Because of harming the mind, it is displeasure. Deluded by afflictions. Furthermore, not realizing reality, wrongly knowing, not Homage! Recognition is ignorance. If ignorance exists, the three actions will manifestly be established: merit, non-merit, and immovability. The approach of these three is the actions due to ignorance. The faculties that depend on it are the six sense bases. The gathering of three dharmas is contact.
