Then craving will not arise. Therefore, contact is the enjoyment of objects, and feeling is the enjoyment of birth or fruition. So, the completion of these two is called complete enjoyment. The ninth is grasping, which is the four kinds of desire and attachment to the four objects: the eye to form, the ear to sound, the nose to smell, the tongue to taste, the body to touch, and the mind to phenomena, etc. Attachment and clinging to the objects of desire is desire-grasping. Attachment and clinging to all evil views except the view of annihilation is view-grasping. Attachment and clinging to the precepts and evil asceticism related to evil views is precept-and-vow-grasping. Attachment and clinging to the view of the aggregates of destruction, such as self, person, and form, is the self-affirming grasping, which are four in total. The tenth is existence. The previous actions have instilled the karmic imprints on consciousness, and these have been nourished by craving and grasping. Therefore, it has become capable of taking rebirth in the future, so the name of the result is given to the cause. The eleventh is birth, which is the joining of the continuum in the four places of birth. The twelfth is aging and death. The aging of the aggregates is aging, and the abandonment of the similar kind of aggregates is destruction, which is death. The sixth is contact, which is the gathering of object, sense faculty, and consciousness, and the enjoyment of the three kinds of objects: pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral. The seventh is feeling, which is the enjoyment of the three objects of contact, and the arising of the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and indifference. The eighth is craving, which is the craving for pleasure that cannot be separated from it, and the craving for wanting to be free from suffering. If craving is differentiated, it is said in the sutras that craving arises from feeling, which means that feeling arises from contact due to the aggregation of ignorance, and craving arises from feeling. If there is no ignorance, even if there is feeling, craving will not arise.

Taking and, the precepts related to wrong views and, the desire and attachment to bad behaviors, are the taking of precepts and bad behaviors. The desire and attachment to the aggregates of destruction, such as self and person, form, etc., is the taking of speaking of self, these are the four takings. The tenth is existence, the previous actions have instilled the habit of karma in the consciousness, nourished by desire and taking, and also have the power to take the next rebirth, so the name of the fruit is named by the cause. The eleventh is birth, connecting rebirth in the four forms of birth. The twelfth is old age and death, the aging of the aggregates is old age, abandoning the same kind of aggregates is destruction, which is death. Thus, from the cycle of twelve links of dependent origination such as ignorance, suffering has been produced from the beginning in the three realms and six realms. Also, in the Collection, the prince asked the mother: "Alas! Mother, non-human wisdom dakini! From the beginningless past, what is the root cause of wandering in the three realms and wandering in the six realms?" The mother replied: "Alas! Good son of the lineage! The root of the six realms of reincarnation is, ignorance and great ignorance, like a wheel of fire. From this arises the dependent origination of reincarnation, action produces consciousness, from this arises name and form and the six places, contact, feeling, and love increase, the end of love is taking and existence, the fruit of birth, old age, sickness and death ripens, suffering and sorrow are inconceivable, like a wheel of fire. The sentient beings of the three realms of reincarnation, because they do not know themselves, are like a prince wandering as a commoner." So it is said. Differentiating slightly from that, there are three ways of recognizing, as follows: So, what is ignorance? For these six realms themselves, thinking of them as a whole, thinking of them as complete, thinking of them as permanent, thinking of them as stable, thinking of them as solid, thinking of them as happy, thinking of them as self, thinking of them as sentient beings, thinking of them as life, thinking of them as the one who gives birth, thinking of them as the one who nurtures, thinking of them as a man, thinking of them as a person, thinking of them as born of strength, thinking of them as a son of strength, thinking of them as "I", thinking of them as "mine", like this, not understanding the various forms, is called ignorance.
