The object of focus is: one's own body sits comfortably on a seat, the body and mind remain still and abide, causing the body to possess the seven dharmas of Vairochana. Exhale the impure air three times, so that the accumulated sins and obscurations from the three doors of body, speech, and mind, as well as inner impurities, are all exhaled in the form of wind. All the obscurations of body and mind, both inside and outside, are purified, and the body becomes clear and empty. Like blowing out the inside of a hollow reed, contemplate that from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet is empty. Within this emptiness, at the five places of the crown of the head, throat, heart, navel, and secret place, the five chakras are like the brims of five hats facing each other, with the tops of the two hats meeting in the empty space. The central channel penetrates upwards and downwards. Alternatively, contemplate two lotuses facing each other in place of the hats, or contemplate two umbrellas facing each other. Then, there is the gradual transference of consciousness, as well as the sudden transference of consciousness and the combination of the two. Here, the first is the gradual transference of consciousness, which is the method of guiding beings from the six realms. In this, visualize oneself standing, with the two ankles of the legs bent. The two hands form the Dharma-source mudra on the crown of the head. Visualize that on the right side of the soles of the feet there is a white bindu, and on the left side there is a red bindu, each the size of a barley grain or a pea from the Bhadrakalpa, with the nature of light. Draw the air upwards, and forcefully strike with the syllable (Tibetan: ཕཊཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: pa!), lifting it upwards. At the secret place, the two red and white bindus merge into one, the size of a newly laid bird's egg, with the nature of light, unbearable to look at, like the essence of the sun, throbbing and pulsating. Drawn upwards by (Tibetan: ཕཊཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: pa!), it reaches the navel, heart, throat, and crown of the head. Then, it exits through the Brahma aperture and transforms into a blue (Tibetan: ཧ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह, Sanskrit Romanization: ha, Chinese literal meaning: ha) syllable in the sky a cubit away, blazing with light. This is the oral instruction for the transference of consciousness with intentional focus. The object of focus is: one's own body sits comfortably on a seat, the body and mind remain still and abide, causing the body to possess the seven dharmas of Vairochana.

Like inserting a hollow reed, in the contemplation of the body being empty from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet, the crown of the head, throat, heart, navel, and secret place are the five locations. Contemplate the five chakras as if two brims of black hats face each other, and the tops of the two hats meet in the middle, with the central channel penetrating upwards and downwards. Or, instead of hats, contemplate two lotuses facing each other, or contemplate two umbrellas facing each other. Then, gradually perform transference, or perform instantaneous transference, or do both. Here, the first is gradual transference, which is the method of transferring the six realms of beings to the pure land: Contemplate yourself standing, with legs crossed. With hands forming the Dharmadhatu mudra on the crown of the head. Contemplate that on the soles of both feet, on the right side there is a white bindu, and on the left side there is a red bindu, the size of a grain of auspicious barley or an auspicious bean, possessing the nature of light. Then, draw the air upwards, forcefully uttering (Tibetan: ཕཊཿ, Devanagari: फट, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Pa!). Draw upwards. In the secret place, contemplate the red and white bindus merging into one, the size of a newly hatched bird's egg, possessing the nature of light, unbearable to look at, like the center of the sun, throbbing and flickering. Drawn upwards by uttering (Tibetan: ཕཊཿ, Devanagari: फट, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Pa!), reaching the navel, heart, throat, and crown of the head. Then, exiting through the Brahma aperture, reaching the space of one cubit, contemplate it transforming into a deep blue (Tibetan: ཧ, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: Ha) syllable, blazing with light. This is the key instruction for transference with focused intention. After reaching the crown of the head, in the empty space, mix the pure and stainless awareness and emptiness, indivisibly. Abide in the state of indivisible awareness and emptiness, vast and expansive. Counting the inhalation and exhalation as one, abide in meditation for twenty-one times. Then, according to what is said below, perform instantaneous transference, or doing this is also fine. In any case, the mind rises into the sky and merges, abiding in meditation, and again performing transference, like this, performing twenty-one times, as one session, twenty-one times during the day, and twenty-one times during the night. Finally, at the time of ending the session, contemplate a red eight-petaled lotus in the heart, and contemplate that your consciousness is in the center of the lotus. Contemplate the lotus closing, and then fall asleep or enter into daily activities, this is the practice of transference with focused intention.
