On the way to meet Dagpo's disciple, the yogi Choyung, at a place called Green, having heard that a siddha named Kawa Chen resided above this valley, I went to meet him. Upon encountering the dakini and requesting an audience, she said there was no need for a monastic entourage and did not allow entry. Borrowing a dog's food bowl, tea was brewed without washing it. The lama heard of this and said, "That is a capable yogi." He was pleased and granted an audience. He said, "I am glad you came," and then taught many teachings, such as the Meaning Transmission Mirror of the Heart. He said, "You also have excellent faculties." Afterward, while meditating in a cave of Kawa Chen, in the evening, a dakini appeared, afflicted by a curse, and the curse was dispelled through recognition. She offered a skull cup filled with amrita, increasing the bliss of non-leakage. Then, to Kawa Chen, father and mother, were offered one hundred and three kinds of wealth, led by three horses. Upon requesting the unsealing of vows, five months of tsok offerings were taught. Because he was the master of the Dharma, he said, "I will say whatever is asked," and taught to fifteen people including Gyer. After that, he met the yogi Choyung and requested teachings such as the Two-Faced Mother and the Six Dharmas of Naropa. He was liberated from the bonds of the Eight Dharmas. He lived without a fixed abode. He subdued many evil spirits, such as those of Maltro Zibar and Nye's Khar Nag. Invited by dakinis, he emanated a manifestation of his body and went to Oddiyana (Ugyen). He requested instructions from five siddhas including Indrabhuti. He beheld the faces of many yidams, such as Chakrasamvara. He established the Shugseb Monastery in Nyepu. Above were three red water treasuries, and below were three realized beings, etc., leading countless disciples to maturation and liberation. At the age of sixty-four, he passed away with many wondrous signs. His main disciple, Sangye Pon, was born into the Gyer lineage, and his name was Rinchen Nyingpo. As a child, he was sent to Shugseb to study Dharma. Gyer knew this and said, "Today Rinchen Nyingpo will come, you monks should welcome him, he will be more excellent than me." After ordaining, he was given all the Dharma. At the seat of Nyepu, he cared for his disciples with teachings, and in the central hermitage of Shugseb, he passed away with wondrous signs. His disciple, Drakburwa, was a young nephew of Sangye Pon.

From Nu, he approached the feet of Sanggye Pön. His ordained name was Rinchen Bum. He exerted effort in the secluded place of Do-ön, and warmth and bliss blazed. He established the seat of Shukseb. When Drogön Phagpa went upwards, he met the Dharma masters of Ü-Tsang. Pleased with his signs of warmth, he also received instructions. His students included Yang-gyer Pön Ri-ba, Ngam-shö Rinpoche Zhangtön Künga, and others, who greatly benefited the learned and virtuous teachings. His student, Shukseb Ri pa, was from Khar-chu Smad in the region. His clan was Klu. He ordained from a young age. His name was Zhönnu Rinchen. He requested the cycles of Pacification, including the meaning lineage of the Lion of Speech and the Four Profound Meanings, from Brag 'Bur-ba. Furthermore, he received many empowerments and instructions from many lamas such as Drogön Phagpa, Gar Chungwa, Chu Zangwa, Linga Liwa, and others. He established the seat of Shukseb and worked for the benefit of countless beings to be tamed. The venerable Lama Sönam Gyaltsenpa also approached him. His student in the meaning lineage, 'Ba'-ra-ba, was a Tsangpa who possessed the three qualities of learning, virtue, and excellence. He approached the feet of Lama Ripa, and thus, he completely received the cycles of the Shukseb Dharma, including the cycles of the Pacification meaning lineage, the three cycles of Doha, and Dependent Arising. The Tsangpa master said, "This person is special." As he was about to leave, he placed him on a high seat and gave him great honor and respect. He instructed him regarding requests for explanations and guidance on these cycles of the Shukseb Dharma, saying, "Khenpo Gyaltsen Palzangpo, may you propagate them well!" This 'Ba'-ra-ba was the supreme lama of Pawo Dorje, the crest jewel of the lineage of Je Tsongkhapa. The Tsangpa Lozang requested the cycles of Pacification meaning from 'Ba'-ra-ba, and the great Khenpo Shakya Drakpa heard these. These are the lineages of So-lugs. Furthermore, when a student of Dampa named 'Dzing Dharma-bodhi went to Dong-sna in Dol, he went to see the large gathering at Tshar-'chur in Dol and met Dampa the Indian. For fourteen full months, he followed Dampa. When they arrived at the residence of Zang-can in Tsang, Dampa gave him a piece of coarse cloth, saying, "He is short-tempered, so you return to your own country! Bring some tsampa from Dakpo! There is also a friend from Dolbu who is going."
