After that, the greatness of the signs of miraculous accomplishments, the greatness of peaceful Nirvana, and the greatness of the succeeding disciples' lineage will be explained in ten chapters. It is said that there were five different castes of people in India. That is, the greatest was the royal caste, the noble was the Brahmin caste, the common was the Vaishya caste, the good was the Shudra caste, and the lowly was the Chandal caste. Among these five, the Brahmin caste was the most sacred, and it was further divided into four: the Pure Radiant Caste, the Jeweled Net Caste, the Karo Shamba Caste, and the Sharana Caste. And this is the Pure Radiant Caste. According to the different occupations, the castes were further divided into many kinds. The father of the Holy One was of the caste that took jewels from the ocean, named Rahati or Diligent Armor. The mother was of the Brahmin Pure Radiant Caste, engaged in spice blending. She used the leaves of blue herbs as a base, compounded medicines, and extensively offered to the Three Jewels, thereby obtaining all desired accomplishments and being able to bring happiness to the country, a woman called Mastira, or Beautiful Crest, or Excellent Samadhi Woman. These parents had four children, the eldest son named Ratnakirti, the second son named Sarmakirti, the youngest son named Chandrakirti, and the daughter named Padmakirti. The Holy One himself was the second son, namely Sarmakirti. Later, on the way of the father going to the ocean to take jewels, in a dream while sleeping in the Kasarpani Temple, Avalokiteshvara transformed into a pleasing white man adorned with all kinds of jewels. He said, "Captain, you should make offerings to me, and I will bestow great accomplishments." The captain offered about eighty kinds of offerings and prayed. The mother, in order to obtain materials for blending spices, went with merchants to the south, where Arura (Terminalia chebula), an extremely excellent medicine, appeared only for one month in winter every six years. On the way to these places, she obtained many medicines for blending spices. When she arrived at the place where Tara resided in the Sandana Forest, Tara said, "Daughter, next year you will give birth to a capable son who will become the leader of a caravan. Name him Karana Gas." Afterwards, she returned, and while sleeping in Jarokjen (place name), at dawn, the Lord of Secrets (Vajrapani) said in a dream, "Daughter, next year you will give birth to a son of extremely great power. Name him Las Kyi Dorje (Action Vajra)."
