If you are interested in meditating on seed syllables instead of bindus, first meditate on the seed syllable of the deity, such as the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanized: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), in the bindu at the tip of the nose, and also meditate on the respective seed syllables in the places of the deities in the circle of the mandala, so as to obtain clear appearances. Meditate on seed syllables equal to the number of deities in the bindu at the tip of the nose, or meditate on the mandala of seed syllables in the palace, and if you gain stability in that, meditate on the body of the deity. Alternatively, meditate on the hand implements instead of the seed syllables, as before. Secondly, in the heart of oneself visualized as the deity, visualize the wisdom being. In its heart, meditate on a bindu the size of a small bean, formed from the melting of the samādhi being. In that bindu, meditate as before on the mandala of bindus, or the mandala of letters, or the mandala of hand implements, whichever is suitable, and finally, in the bindu, meditate on the mandala including the support and the supported, as before. Thirdly, on the vajra jewel top of oneself visualized as the yidam, meditate on a bindu the size of a small bean, and in it meditate on the mandala of bindus, or letters, or hand implements, whichever is suitable, and finally, meditate on the wheel of the mandala including the support and the supported, as before. It is sufficient to meditate on any one of the upper tip of the nose, the lower tip of the nose, or the tip of the heart. It is not necessary for one person to meditate on all three. If one becomes accustomed to such a method, one will gain clear appearances of the wheel of the mandala including the support and the supported within the subtle bindu, which is the perfection of single-pointed mindfulness. Such a person, even if they do not practice the completion stage at all in this life, will become one who has the fortune to practice the completion stage in the next life, and will undoubtedly attain supreme accomplishment. Secondly, in the instructions on Mahāmudrā, there are two parts: preliminaries and the main practice. The first is the preliminaries, as explained in the context of the generation stage, or visualize the guru in front of oneself. Visualize the essence of the mind of enlightenment, the white syllable A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanized: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), resting on the moon seat in his heart, and generate intense devotion. The second is the main practice. First, establish the settling of the mind, relying on an external object as a support. Place an object such as a black piece of wood in front of oneself as a support.

Set an object, look at it with your eyes, and concentrate your mind, keeping a distance. At that time, if drowsiness and thoughts arise, interrupt them as usual. Or, keep a distance and do not focus on the object, but remain without thought. Meditate alternately in this way. Or, the second object is: in front of you, on a small stone slab, draw a red swastika symbol, and focus your eyes and mind on it. The swastika symbol remains motionless and upright. Then, relax your consciousness and slightly relax your eyes, and imagine the swastika symbol rotating. Or, the third object is: in front of you, build a wheel-like "spara" out of barley grains or pebbles. Keep a little distance from it, and again build a "spara" as before, and build a small bridge between them with something like thatch. Then, focus your mind and eyes on the opening of the "spara" in front of you, and circle around it about seven times. Then, focus your mind and eyes on the bridge, and also circle around the opening of the outer "spara" about seven times. Then, again cross the bridge and circle around the opening of the inner "spara", and hold your mind. Among the five ways to place the inner object, the first is to hold the mind on a bindu: imagine a dark blue bindu at your navel, and hold your mind on it, and keep it in a non-objective state. The second is to hold the mind: imagine yourself in the middle of empty space, and then gradually dissolve from the edge of your body, and finally imagine your body disappearing and remain in a non-objective state. The third is to hold the mind: imagine a black head appearing from your right, and a black head appearing from your left, and these two heads running from the left and right, fighting each other in front of you. Do this many times, and hold your mind, and finally remain in a non-objective state. The fourth is to hold the mind: place your mind on the eastern sky, and similarly, on the further east of the east, and the further east of that, etc., place your mind on the endless eastern sky. Similarly, hold your mind on the endless skies of the ten directions, and finally remain in a non-objective state. The fifth is to hold the mind: place your mind on any place you have been to before.
