From there, he went to Dromdzem (འབྲུམ་མཛེམ་), combining Dharma requests, and proceeded to Utsang (དབུས). He visited the sacred sites, mainly Lhasa (ལྷ་ས་), and the special objects of veneration. There, he received the longevity empowerment and the guidance on the Fivefold Hevajra from Trewo Chögyal (ཏྲེ་བོ་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་). At Shoktse Mar (ཞོགས་རྩེ་དམར་) during that year's Descent from Heaven Festival, he paid respects to the relics of Jey Utsang Mönpa (རྗེ་དབུས་སྨྱོན་པ་), who had passed away, and offered many melted substances. He went to Changlung Chöding (ལྕང་ལུང་ཆོས་སྡིངས) and met with Jey Zhönnu Chödrub (རྗེ་གཞོན་ནུ་ཆོས་གྲུབ་), who said, "Last night, I dreamed of two white conch shells facing each other and being blown, which is very auspicious." Joyfully, together with his uncle Tsarong Namkha Lösar (ཚ་རོང་ནམ་མཁའ་བློ་གསལ་), the three of them, in that garden, listened to the precious oral instructions transmitted from Panchen Rinpoche, including the Lamdre with its fruit, and all the instructions on the stages of the path, as well as limitless empowerments, guidance, and oral transmissions. In particular, in a dream, he saw a terrifying skeleton with unbroken bone knots inside a pile of silk brocade. The next day, without making a request, he was granted the subsequent permission of the Lord of the Cemetery (Śmaśānavadhipati). He received the individual practice empowerments of Gonpo Gur (མགོན་པོ་གུར་), his sister, and the eight classes of gods, and the Four-Faced Mahakala. He listened to limitless instructions, both common and uncommon, related to these. At Chökortse (ཆོས་འཁོར་རྩེ), he listened to the complete oral instructions from Panchen Dorje Gyaltsen (པཎ་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྒྱལ་མཚན་), the guidance on the Six Yogas mainly according to the Jonang tradition, as well as other Mother and Father Tantras, the glorious Lama tradition, the transmission from Shawara (ཤ་ཝ་རས་) to Martön Rinchen Shakya (དམར་སྟོན་རིན་ཆེན་ཤཱཀྱ་), and the guidance from the Panchen Nakrin tradition, as well as many different rituals from both Tibet and China, extensively. By relying on dark retreats and daytime yoga, he single-mindedly remained in meditation, and limitless signs and experiences manifested. He also received the prophecy from Panchen, who said that through the Six Yogas, you will have great benefit for beings. In addition, he listened to limitless profound Dharma teachings, and then went again to Serdokchen (གསེར་མདོག་ཅན).
