From the Gyal Thang family, there emerged those who held the glory of scholars and siddhas, such as Nyakton Shakya Muni, as well as warriors and the steadfast who were in accordance with worldly customs, those of great intelligence, and those of good conduct, and so on, with many virtues appearing in succession. One of them, with his face, went towards the direction of Lo (Mustang), arriving in a region with the complete ten virtues and many auspicious qualities. At that time, the one who ruled the great earth, the renunciate Ama Pel Dawa Nyerdu Tsespa, became a minister. In private, he also possessed vast lands. Vajradhara Kunga Zangpo was invited, the wheel of Dharma was turned, the Thupchen Nampar Gyalwai temple was built, and he personally managed all affairs such as establishing the Sangha. His son, named Dhon Drung Tsewang Zangpo, served as the minister of the commands of the great Brahma Tashi Gon brothers. Being skilled in both temporal and spiritual affairs, he caused the fortune of both the ruler and the ministers to increase like the waxing moon, and completely subdued all unruly enemy forces. He governed his own territory with great compassion. The second Shakyamuni, the great Pandit Shakya Chokden, surrounded by a sea-like assembly of disciples, was invited to that region by the ruler and ministers. As the patron of the three-year turning of the wheel of Dharma, he performed countless temporal and spiritual deeds, and was known as an emanation. His younger brother was the greatly compassionate Kunga Chokdrub. Dhon Drung Tsewang Zangpo took two consorts, the sons of the first consort were Dhon Drung Tsedar Kyabpa brothers, and the son of the latter consort was the manifestation of the wisdom of glorious Chakrasamvara, the venerable Jammgon Drubpai Warrior, glorious Palden Kunga Drolchok. Dhon Drung Tsedar Kyabpa, being greatly knowledgeable in both temporal and spiritual affairs, performed even more excellently in Ngari than the previous elders, and went to the U-Tsang region.
