Actions with or without form and mind, i.e., all conditioned phenomena, and unconditioned phenomena such as space, and all unrealities, all these dharmas are conventional truths. Their nature, being merely unreal, is the ultimate truth. These two cannot be said to be either one or different. There is only a difference in designation, and the essence of the ultimate realm is nothing at all, so it is illustrated by the example of non-elaborate space. In the appearance of conventional truth, although it is empty of truth, the appearance does not cease, which is illustrated by the example of illusion. They believe that both of these are beyond all elaborations such as existence and non-existence, being and non-being. In this school, some believe that the ultimate nature of reality is like space that merely prevents elaboration, some say that the wisdom of the Buddha and so on are conventional truths and do not truly exist, and some believe that the ultimate truth is also unreal. In particular, the Consequentialists, while establishing the system of tenets, do not admit anything in order to avoid the arguments of others, and even if definitive understanding has not arisen, they want to dispel wrong conceptions, which are all mistakes. However, all phenomena included by the apprehended and the apprehender are not truly existent, and that the mere non-existence is also not established as truly existent, and so on, are not mistaken. The Mind-Only school and the Madhyamaka school that speaks of self-emptiness do not accept the profound secret of the Tathagatagarbha and the self-awareness and self-illumination of ultimate wisdom in their own system, and because they do not understand the reality of these. Therefore, the former teachers did not refute the Other-Emptiness, but the later followers do refute it, but none of them understand the key points of the Other-Emptiness school, so all of them are refutations that pick up what others have left behind. Second, the Great Madhyamaka, known in Tibet as Other-Emptiness, is the Madhyamaka of Mind-Only, which is clarified by the treatises of Lord Maitreya, the Holy Asanga, and the great scholar Vasubandhu, and is also very clearly explained by the Holy Nagarjuna in the "Praise of the Dharmadhatu", so the views of both the Holy Ones are Other-Emptiness. According to this school, the unconditioned phenomena such as the three unconditioned phenomena admitted below the Mind-Only school are imputed, and the unrealities, and the phenomena known as external objects such as form, and the eight aggregates of consciousness, the fifty-one mental factors, etc., in short, the basis, the outer

All phenomena of appearance, as well as all the dharmas included in the temporary path, and all the newly arising parts included in the fruition of the Buddha's ground, and all sentient beings to be tamed included in the appearance of others. Whether it is the dharma of appearance and sound, or the dharma divided by dharma and dharmata, or the dharma included by the grasped and the grasper, or in the occasion of determining the ultimate truth, all existent and non-existent things are conditioned dharmas, and all things that are established as suddenly existing, all these are without inherent existence. But the wisdom that is non-dual with the dharmadhatu, self-cognizant and self-luminous, is the ultimate truth, the dharmata, the unconditioned dharma. This alone can be discerned by reason, and is truly established. Those who assert self-emptiness, thinking it is like space, if analyzed, because it is non-existent, it is not the ultimate truth. This school is a school that possesses all faultless qualities. All Mahayana practitioners want to promote all the Mahayana sutras, but the Mind-Only school considers the Samdhinirmocana Sutra, the Lankavatara Sutra, the Ratnakuta Sutra, and the Avatamsaka Sutra, known as the four sutras, to be of definitive meaning, and all others to be of provisional meaning. The founders of this school were the five hundred teachers of the past. Those who hold ordinary Madhyamaka views say that all the sutras of the last turning of the wheel are of provisional meaning, and the Prajnaparamita sutras of the middle turning of the wheel are ultimately of definitive meaning. The founders of this school are definitely Buddhapalita and others mentioned above. These people, with their view of self-cognizance, believe that Rahula Bhadra and the eight proponents of non-inherent existence, as well as the teacher Nagarjuna, all hold this school.
