Regarding all past phenomena, there is a distinction of three characteristics: the connection with conventional consciousness and the aspect of ultimate wisdom, each being established separately. Forms, sounds, smells, tastes, etc., are aspects of conventional consciousness, therefore they are without inherent existence; the forms, sounds, etc., of the nature of reality are aspects of wisdom, therefore they are truly established; the conventional aspects are distinct, and the ultimate phenomena are without the fault of contradictory aggregation. This was also spoken by Tāranātha at the solitary place of Choslung Jangtse, urged by some who had a desire for meaning. Auspicious! Checked once. Essence of Other-Emptiness.
