Furthermore, rely on reality. The conventional truth and the ultimate truth. Those who do not know the distinction between these two truths cannot understand the profound suchness of the Buddha's teachings. Without relying on terminology, one cannot realize the ultimate. If one does not realize the ultimate, one will not attain nirvana. Thus it is said. In the commentary "What is Fearless," the teacher himself says: The teachings of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, arise in dependence on these two truths. The so-called worldly conventional truth is that from the emptiness of the nature of all phenomena, the world does not understand the perversion, and sees all phenomena arising. This is the conventional truth for them. The ultimate truth is that the noble ones understand the meaning of non-perversion in their hearts, and see that all phenomena do not arise. This is the ultimate truth for them. Thus it is said. Among them, the characteristic of the conventional is all those phenomena of things and non-things as stated above. The nature of the ultimate is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, free from elaboration and duality. These two are not fundamentally different, but in terms of abiding, there is nothing other than the Dharmadhatu ultimate. The view that is in accordance with the way of abiding is only the samadhi wisdom of the noble ones. As for ordinary beings, to the extent that the Dharmadhatu exists, they do not see the ultimate that exists, but various appearances of the conventional that do not exist, actually appear and are able to appear. For example, a person with jaundice never sees the white of a conch shell, and only a yellow illusion appears in the place of white. However, the common intention of other people with eyes and the two of them is that the white conch shell is seen as yellow by the person with jaundice. It is like children also seeing the way of abiding in a perverse way, the ultimate of abiding appearing as the conventional of appearance. Thus it is also proclaimed. Therefore, one's own mind...

Its nature is emptiness, and the realm of activity associated with the aggregates of consciousness is the nature of conventional truth. Its own nature is truly established, and the realm of activity of the wisdom of noble equipoise is the nature of ultimate truth. Conventional truth, nominal truth, and false truth have the same meaning and are also called worldly truth. The word "ultimate" in "ultimate truth" means supreme, and the meaning of supreme also refers to the existence of truth. Conventional truth can also be divided into conventional conventional truth and conventional ultimate truth. The first is inverted conventional truth, such as water moons, which can only generate inverted consciousness of its own object. Although it appears as the moon, it cannot function as the moon. This kind of phenomenon arises from the confusion of the senses, such as dreams, illusions, disorders caused by diseases, dizziness, etc., and relying on metaphors and arguments to confuse the mind, with the discriminating mind that clings to concepts such as the chief, the self, and the sovereign, the general concept of the chief, etc., which are the imputed appearances of those imputed, and others such as the emptiness of cattle and horses, etc., do not have practical functions, and even in the world, they cannot produce the desired results. The second is correct conventional truth, which does not depend on the direct imputation of discriminating thoughts, has a clear appearance that is not confused by temporary causes of confusion, and in the world, it will not cause confusion in the place of acceptance and rejection, and can achieve the desired results, such as fire can burn, water can moisten, the eyes can see form, the ears can hear sound, walking on the road will reach the destination, sin will lead to falling into hell, good deeds will lead to rising to heaven, practicing selflessness can attain liberation, perfecting the accumulation of merit can achieve Buddhahood, and so on. Although these things, actions, and causal relationships are not established at all on the ultimate level, in the world, cause and effect will appear without confusion, the experience is stable, and the place of acceptance and rejection has meaning. Therefore, conventional and correct are expressed in the same way.
