Then, this teacher concentrated his mind, and in an instant, a terrible red whirlwind arose, carrying away all the offerings and implements. He attempted this seven times, and everything was carried away by the wind, so that the ordinary Brahmins and the king himself were carried away by the wind and were left without clothes. After that, the king and the Brahmins, knowing that the teacher had displayed his power, bowed respectfully and requested instructions. From then on, they did not perform sacrifices involving the taking of life, and they became devoted to the teachings of the Buddha. The teacher Dharmapa was born in the city of Saliputra, near the southern region. He took ordination there and became skilled in various fields of knowledge. He spent his time listening and teaching, and grew old, and his eyes also went blind. When there was nothing else to do, he thought, 'How wonderful it would be if I could meet a lama who could directly show the true path,' and he constantly prayed to the Three Jewels. In a dream, Vajra Yogini appeared and said, 'I will bless you.' After that, he prayed again and again, and Yogini actually appeared, blessed him, and gave him instructions. After that, he meditated for five years, and the realization of Mahamudra came into his experience. He took on the role of a reader and worked for the benefit of sentient beings. I have also heard that this teacher composed the treatise on the Mahamaya. Kukkutipa was a vidyadhara who transformed into the form of a domestic fowl. Gundaripa is apparently the one who was formerly known in Tibet as Ghundaripa. He killed many sparrow Ghundaris and ate their meat. He revived them again and displayed the miracle of spitting them out from his mouth. Chatilapa, apart from the name, nothing is known about his history. Nadipa, it needs to be investigated whether it is the same person or different people. The teacher Gandharapa, that is, the teacher Holder of the Earth, was of royal lineage. He was born in Gandhara, that is, Holder of the Earth. His real name was Bijnanakuri. He took the vows of a lay devotee and studied various fields of knowledge. He joined a tantric group. Since there was no one else from Gandhara (Holder of the Earth) there, he was called Gandharapa as a nickname. The teacher practitioner Purvagupta, having received the Chakrasamvara initiation from a hidden yogi and meditated, at some point gained clear appearance of all subtle and gross things. He lived in a place called Goldsmith's Village.

While meditating in a forest near a city in the Ra direction, a burning bright vision appeared, and a fire actually broke out, burning all the grass and trees in the forest. Soon after, he thought to bring rain. He brought rain through meditation alone, and the previously burned things were restored in an instant. Having gained power there, he performed the conduct of a wise man and traveled to various places. From the island of Ganga Sagara to the city of Prayaga, he laid a leather mat on the Ganges River and traveled up and down many times with his retinue. He did the same for the Rohanta River or the very prosperous son of Brahma. Then, one time he wanted to go to the island of Dhana Shri, and as he and his retinue walked on the sea without sinking, there was a rain of flowers, and it was filled with sounds, light, and fragrance. There, the teacher Gandharapa thought: Now my power is equal to that of the lama. Immediately, he sank into the water. Again, generating faith, he became as before and went to the island of Dhana Shri. There, he also did many things to benefit beings through mantras. In one day, he placed stone umbrellas on one hundred and eight stupas. Then, he returned again to a place near Magadha and stayed in the place of Indra's Cave. Initially, because of the pride of thinking that his qualities were equal to those of the lama, his body did not change place. Because he had attained extraordinary power, he benefited beings and was close to the attainment of the great seal. Bina Pani has already been written elsewhere. Tandepa, I think is the same as Tantipa. Tadakapa, it is said that a robber later attained accomplishment. The accomplished Kangkala Pa was from the eastern Gaura region. A wealthy householder, indulging in pleasures, lived happily. Suddenly, his wife died, and he took the body to the cemetery, sitting there grieving. There, a well-realized yogi came and asked him: What are you doing? He told his story and lamented his sorrow. The yogi said: In that case, you too will die. He requested: Then please give me a way to be liberated from that. The yogi gave him initiation and instructions, and then that householder stayed in that cemetery, surrounding himself with bones to purify the defilements of his mind, and after six years he attained accomplishment. His work for the benefit of beings was also very extensive.
