also knew it was getting thicker. He was both amazed and very scared. Then, the teacher made the two of them abandon their former wrong views, made them vow to do good, and took the Ka (letter) out of that small rock crevice unharmed. Because he showed such a miracle, the king was converted to the Dharma. The rest of the story of King Rolwa's Moon and Minister Gewai Gonpo is: The king and minister both conducted state affairs according to the Dharma during the day, and at night they meditated on the two stages of samadhi. After a few years had passed, the minister actually had the clear appearance of Chandali burning. At first, the houses and nearby walls, etc., were unobstructed, and he could see day and night. Then gradually, he could see about a league away, about a hundred leagues away, and even the land of Gaura. Before long, it grew infinitely. Similarly, all sounds were heard and known. All the treatises that had not been heard before were also understood naturally. Once, letters from many kings of different directions gathered before the king at the same time. Those letters were written by panditas from various places, and because they were bound by rhyme and poetry, they were difficult to understand, and the languages and scripts were different, and there were many different wishes with different views. Although many scribes, reciters, Brahmin panditas gathered to study them, they were still very difficult to understand. The minister explained them all and explained the meaning in detail, and also made replies that were appropriate to each of them. The king and his attendants said: You have never said that you knew these things before, what is going on? He replied: I only learned it last year. Not long after that, one night he woke up from sleep in the middle of the night, and a very ugly old woman, covered with leprosy, stood up from the executioner, leaning on a cane, and came to the minister and said: I am hungry. The minister knew that it was an emanation of the Bhagavan Mother, and without hesitation prostrated and offered all the abundant food and drink, and requested: Please accept me. She placed her hand on the minister's head and blessed him as if she were blessing him, and it felt as if she was dissolving into the minister's own head.

It is said that once he ascended, he would become invisible. There, he also realized the true nature of things. Even though he became an accomplished one who could control various subtle things and attainments, he temporarily concealed his identity, handled state affairs as an ordinary person, and acted by understanding people's thoughts and destinies. Once, when he was by the king's side, he saw some cats licking milk and yogurt in the temple of his own garden, and he gestured to drive them away as if unintentionally. When the king asked him what had happened, knowing that the time had come, he recounted how he had attained accomplishment. After that, he abandoned the duties of a minister, lived as a yogi, and benefited sentient beings. It is said that he eventually attained the accomplishment of Mahamudra. This accomplished one, Kushala Natha, composed various dohas and treatises on profound meanings. Continuing from the previous topic, the king thought: Although it has been a long time since I received the teachings of an accomplished master, I have not yet attained accomplishment, and I think it is because I am not diligent enough. So, he had the ministers and attendants handle state affairs, and he meditated diligently day and night. After about a year or two, one day, he made offerings to the temple and the Sangha. That night, he secretly went to the cemetery to make offerings. There, he saw a female corpse, all the flesh stripped away, leaving only a complete skeleton, and when he made offerings to it, the skeleton stood up. He knew that the Blessed Mother (Skt: Bhagavati, Devanagari: भगवती, Roman: bhagavatī, lit: Possessing wealth) resided within it. He prayed with mantras, and the skeleton danced and taught the Dharma. In that very moment, the king also gained complete experience and realization, and accomplished various subtle deeds. It is said that from then on, the teachings of the Skeleton Tara originated. During this time, because the ministers and Brahmins abused their power, the country became uneasy, and the king personally governed with mantras and samadhi, bringing peace to the country. Once, when the armies of about fifteen heretical petty kingdoms surrounded (him), the king scattered flowers blessed with mantras, and all the enemies lost consciousness, were subdued by him, and prostrated at the king's feet. They swore not to harm Bengal and left after making many vows.
