Among all the treatises on the unsurpassable tantras composed by, etc., there is said to be no other commentary on the unsurpassable mantra that is more excellent than this. These treatises are not as widely known as the treatises such as the Madhyamika collections of reasoning, because they were only entrusted to those who had attained the state of holding the wisdom of Nāgārjuna's enlightenment. Later, they became prosperous during the time of King Devapāla and his son. Therefore, the reason why the transmissions of the collections of the Ārya and the collections of the Buddha's Crown, etc., are so close is also because of this. For example, it is like the pure visions of Tibet and the authentic termas without adulteration. From about this time onwards, the mantra tantras of Kriya and Charya became very popular for about two hundred years, and were practiced openly. Although the tantras of Yoga and Anuttarayoga were not practiced openly until accomplishment was attained, they became even more popular than before. Commentaries were also composed in various ways, and many famous siddhas appeared. At that time, appeared the teacher Hayagriva, the great teacher Lūyipā, and the siddha Charpatipa, etc., whose biographies are detailed elsewhere. The teacher Arhata was a monk who strictly observed the vows and was well-versed in the three pitakas during the time of King Karma Chandra. He accomplished a great treasure vase. Eventually, he found a priceless vase in the ground in the country of Vārāṇasī, which was about a krosha (about 3.2 kilometers) in size. He used it to provide sustenance for many tens of thousands of monks. Once, he forgot to guard the vase, and that night, the yakshas stole it. The next morning, when he opened the vase to offer it to the monks, he found it empty. That great magical power monk and mantra practitioner summoned all the great gods, including Brahma, and tormented them, and they summoned the yakshas, and the treasure vase was filled again. As a sign that the gods had come, the earth shook, a rain of flowers fell, and a good fragrance arose continuously for seven days, which was visible to all beings. In this way, he offered to the sangha for nearly forty years. The treasure vase itself

This is just an appearance, while others see it as a seed of the earth. The history of the noble Asanga and his brother is as follows: In the past, during the time of King Gauda, there was a monk who was well-versed in the three pitakas and practiced the noble Avalokiteśvara as his yidam. Once, he had a dispute with another monk, debating scriptures and engaging in arguments. Due to the fault of arrogance, he belittled the other, calling him "one with the intelligence of a woman." At that time, the noble Avalokiteśvara said, "This action of yours will cause you to be born as a woman in many lifetimes. However, until you attain enlightenment, I will indeed be your spiritual friend." It is said that around the time of King Buddharakṣita, he took birth as a Brahmin woman named Prakāśaśīlā, meaning "Mother of Extremely Clear Nature." She could remember her past lives and, from a young age, could see the sutras and śastras. She understood them as soon as she heard them, constantly worshiped the noble Avalokiteśvara, naturally abided in the ten virtuous paths, and the mind of enlightenment became her strength. It is a mistake to think of her as a bhikṣuṇī. When she grew up, she united with a member of the royal family and gave birth to a boy with auspicious marks. They performed the ceremony of opening his intelligence. When he grew a little older, his mother personally taught him writing, arithmetic, the eight types of divination, grammar, logic, medicine, the arts, and the eighteen branches of knowledge, making him very proficient and clear. When he asked about the dharma of his family, his mother said, "Son, you were not born to engage in family affairs, but to propagate the holy dharma. Therefore, renounce, study extensively, and attain samādhi!" As she said, after he renounced, he spent a year serving as an attendant to the khenpo, acharya, and sangha. After receiving full ordination, he focused on reading for five years, mastering the words and meanings of a hundred thousand verses each year. In this way, the common three pitakas and most of the Mahayana sutras were easy to understand, but the expression of the Prajñāpāramitā sutras, which is neither repetitive nor complex, is...
