When asked who it was, others explained in detail. That poor woman also begged a little from the people, and obtained a small amount of oil, which she poured into a clay pot. She lit the lamp and offered it to the Bhagavan with supreme faith, placing it at the stupa. She touched the feet of the Bhagavan with her head and made a prayer: "By this root of virtue, just like the teacher Shakyamuni, may I also become a Buddha named Shakyamuni when I am a hundred years old. May I be like Shariputra, the foremost in wisdom, Maudgalyayana, the foremost in miraculous powers, the attendant Ananda, the mother Maya, the son Rahula, the city of Kapilavastu, and the increasing relics." Then, at night, when all the other lamps had gone out, the lamp she had offered appeared to be very bright. The teacher slept in the light of the lamp, and the venerable Ananda thought to extinguish the lamp, but even when he struck it with his hand, the edge of his robe, and a fan, he could not extinguish it. The Buddha said: "Ananda, this lamp cannot be extinguished even by a scattering wind, let alone by others. It is lit by a great aspiration. This girl will become a Buddha named Shakyamuni, just as she has wished." After saying this, that lamp burned brightly for seven days, overwhelming all the other offerings. Her fame spread in all directions, and the king also placed a thousand jars of oil and four jewel lamps for the stupa. In addition, he offered other supreme umbrellas for three months. He also clothed each monk with robes as large as a hundred mountains. He also erected countless oil lamps. Those Brahmins and faithful patrons, thinking of the future merits of that poor woman, also gave her many things. Ninety-ninth, eliminating the arrogance of King Prasenajit. Then, King Prasenajit requested: "If I have done this much root of virtue, please prophesy my attainment of unsurpassed Bodhi."

The teaching said: Great King, unsurpassed Bodhi is profound, difficult to see, and difficult to realize. It cannot be attained by your single act of generosity, nor by a hundred, nor by a thousand, nor by hundreds of thousands. However, if you desire Bodhi, give generously, accumulate merit, and attend to and honor virtuous friends, then when will you become a Buddha? Then the king wept and wiped away his tears with his robe. World Honored One, how much generosity and merit have you done in the past? The teaching said: I have given generously and accumulated merit for countless eons. I have made offerings to the Buddhas who have appeared, and purified my defilements. For now, listen carefully to the generosity and merit I have done in this eon. After connecting the circumstances, he told many stories of the Bodhisattva's past lives. King Clear Victory developed great faith and wonder, rejoiced greatly, and rejoiced after him, and then left from the Teacher's presence. The ninetieth, saving Ajatasatru from fear: At that time, King Ajatasatru and about seventeen border kingdoms united their opinions and rebelled. Ajatasatru killed the king who possessed the Dharma, and he will also harm us, so we must kill him or drive him from the throne. So he prepared four kinds of armies and came. The city of Rajagriha was surrounded by armies. The dragon Somama was angry and dropped hail, and all the crops were destroyed. The water of five hundred ascetics, wells and lakes also dried up. The other water sources were also poisoned by the kings of the border kingdoms, and the people of Rajagriha could not drink it. An unbearable and severe plague broke out, and corpses were carried on stretchers, piled up one after another. Ajatasatru himself also contracted a serious illness. There he was in great pain and remorse in his heart. Marupamo told the previous events in detail, saying that this was due to the power of not respecting the Buddha, and now he should repent to the World Honored One. Ajatasatru said: Now it is hot summer, and there is no way to go to the Buddha. She said: The Teacher is like sandalwood and sandalwood.
