These are the mantras of the external father and mother. Focusing on the secret deity, recite: Om Amrita Bhavodbhava Se Svaha. Om Ehyehi, Vajra Nakhi, Vajra Mukhi, Hana Hana, Hana Hana, Paca Paca, Ranga Ranga, Ava Ava, Avisha Avisha, Haya Griva Paya Ti Svaha. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨེ་ཧྱེ་ཧི། བཛྲ་ན་ཁཱི། བཛྲ་མུ་ཁཱི། ཧ་ན་ཧ་ན། ཧ་ན་ཧ་ན། པ་ཙ་པ་ཙ། རངྒ་རངྒ། ཨ་ཝ་ཨ་ཝ། ཨཱ་བི་ཤ་ཨཱ་བི་ཤ ཧ་ཡ་གྲྀ་ཝ་པ་ཡ་ཏི་སྭཱཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओṃ ए ह्ये हि वज्र नखि वज्र मुखि हन हन हन हन पच पच रङ्ग रङ्ग अव अव आविश आविश हय ग्रीव पयति स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ e hye hi vajra nakhi vajra mukhi hana hana hana hana paca paca raṅga raṅga ava ava āviśa āviśa haya grīva payati svāhā, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, come, come, vajra claw, vajra mouth, strike, strike, strike, strike, cook, cook, dye, dye, come, come, enter, enter, horse neck, offer, svāhā.) The staff is entwined with snakes, possessing the radiant movement of the sun, moon, and wind. Offer to the sun and moon, prostrate to the sun and moon, this is the supreme completion. This is the method of profound practice, therefore there are no external offerings or tormas. Abiding in the pride of the deity, the offerings are the enjoyment of the five desirable qualities, the torma of food blessed with the three syllables, and the feast gatherings of subsequent arising from reality or mind. If you wish to perform the empowerment of this samadhi, place a skull cup filled with alcohol, a staff, and a lasso in front. Meditate that you and they are of one taste. Meditate on the generation stage as before, and then recite as much as possible. Then, the disciple recites: Om He Vajra Acharya Mama Atisthantu Kuru Hum. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཧེ་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཙཪྱ་མ་མ་ཨ་ཏི་ཥྛནྟུ་ཀུ་རུ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओṃ हे वज्र आचार्य मम अतिष्ठन्तु कुरु हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ he vajra ācārya mama atiṣṭhantu kuru huṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, hey, vajra, acharya, mine, abide, do, hum.) Pray three times. Perform the seven-branch offering as it appears in the Gur Tantra. Allow the disciple to visualize the guru in their mind as in the generation stage. From that, a second body separates and dissolves into the disciple, transforming the disciple into Hayagriva as in the generation stage. In between, bestow the blessing in accordance with the common recitation transmission. Give the staff blessed three times with the father's mantra to the right hand, and the lasso blessed with the Ekajati's mantra to the left hand. Instruct the disciple to meditate on the visualization of subduing the three realms with the staff and controlling the three realms with the lasso. This is the vase empowerment. Recite the secret mantra of the father and give a little intoxicant from the skull cup. Introduce the inexpressible experience, this is the secret empowerment. Recite the mantra of the vajra claws and gradually have the disciple drink the alcohol from the skull cup, introducing the empowerment of experiencing wisdom and prajna-wisdom. The sound of the lute, flute, or bell rings, introducing the fourth empowerment. Then, offer gifts and enjoy the feast. There are no subsequent ritual activities for this. This supreme accomplishment of Hayagriva, surpassing all practices, is most joyful. This manifestation of essential wisdom is the ultimate secret, unsurpassed teaching. Pandita Gangwa.
