To all without exception, Savior, wish-fulfilling jewel, I, fearful of endless samsara, With heartfelt devotion in this and future lives, Rely on you with faith in body, speech, and mind. Taking a teacher in the Vajra lineage, Is repeatedly said to be the root of all vows. Inferior intoxicating offerings and fire sacrifices, Are like a lineage teaching without butter, fruitless. Like abandoning what is meaningless, Similarly, without a teacher, dharma is not accomplished. Therefore, above all vows, Especially strive to keep the teacher's vows. In all times and circumstances, May I accomplish the activities of the glorious lama. If I accomplish what pleases you, May I abandon all that displeases you. If you are pleased, then we, It is even greater than attaining supreme enlightenment. If you are not pleased, in this life, Even if I attain enlightenment, there is no supreme meaning. All the virtues of myself and others in the three times, From the power of gathering them into one, in this life, May the supreme and sacred attainments be realized, May I always please and make offerings to the lama. We who are trapped in the prison of samsara, There is no refuge other than you to guide us, I pray with continuous devotion and respect, Please look upon us with compassion without delay. May the body of the Vajra Master and my body, Be blessed as inseparable Vajra bodies. May I accomplish whatever the glorious lama says, And may I attain the inseparable oral instructions, the Vajra speech. May I hold all the secret treasures of the heart, And may I be blessed to merge mind and heart without separation. In the state of bliss-emptiness union, emptiness and compassion, May the supreme generation and completion stages of union, inseparable from skillful means and wisdom, Be seen and realized directly as unborn clear light. May I become equal to you, the actual Vajradhara. May I see the lama as the actual Buddha, Possessing vast samadhi, inseparable from calm and insight. With pure and stainless conduct of body, speech, and mind, May I be liberated from the place of grasping and fixation, samsara.
