Ground color: All pillars are painted black, and the insignia of blue-green vajras are drawn. Now, the signs of the deities, etc., will be explained. In the center of the central mandala, on top of the sun cushion, are skull-cups and curved knives marked with various vajras. On the eight petals, on sun or moon cushions, from the northeast in a clockwise direction, draw lions, curved knives, monks, damarus, wheels, turtles, and vajra snakes, all in accordance with the body color of the deities. In the center of the nine squares of the eastern mandala, on a sun cushion, is a blue vajra. In other deity places, if one is able and willing, one should draw the deity's seat according to the Abhisamaya. However, if simplifying, it is permissible to draw only the signs, except for the four gatekeepers. In the eight squares, clockwise, draw wheels and eyeballs, jewels, blue vajras, lotuses, another lotus, various vajras, and blue utpalas. In the four corners of the second row, draw mirrors, lutes, incense burners, and vessels filled with supreme flavors. On the eight gate corners, draw curved knives, all on sun cushions and in accordance with the body color of the deities. In the center of the western mandala are a skull-cup and a khatvanga; on the four direction petals, draw clockwise vajra jewels, lotuses, and swords; on the four corners, draw skull-cups. In the center of the northern palace, draw a vajra or a curved knife or a sword, whichever is appropriate.
