Namo! The ritual of secret mantra practice is: I will teach you correctly. You are a great vessel of conduct, possessing the vajra of body, speech, and mind. All the Buddhas who appear in the three times, through the power of the vajra mantra, have attained incomparable wisdom. They, with Shakya Simha and other supreme beings, have destroyed the terrible and powerful armies of demons. They observed the followers of the world, turned the wheel of Dharma, and entered into Nirvana. Therefore, in order to attain omniscience, disciple, do this! After saying this, then: I take refuge in the Three Jewels! I confess all sins individually! I rejoice in the virtues of beings! I hold the Buddha's Bodhi in mind! Let him say this. Like this, one who has the common vows, in order to uphold the vows of the Vajra Master, please grant me the irreversible empowerment! I beseech you, as the protector, the gods of the wheel, and the activities of the master, the vows and precepts of all the Buddhas, please explain the secret and supreme precepts! For the benefit of all sentient beings, I will always act as a master. Thus pray. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, I go for refuge to the Three Jewels. Secondly, it will become very large. You must not kill sentient beings, nor take what is not given, nor engage in sexual misconduct, nor lie. It is the root of all decay, and alcohol must be completely abandoned. Except for the benefit of sentient beings, all actions that should not be done must be abandoned. One should associate with the holy and respect all yoginis. The three actions of the body, the four actions of speech, and the three actions of mind, one should exert oneself as much as possible. Do not desire inferior vehicles, do not turn away from the benefit of sentient beings, nor abandon samsara, and never cling to nirvana. The secrets of gods and asuras, you must not despise, and you must not step over mudras, mounts, weapons, and symbols. These are said to be vows, which you must always protect. The vast conforming precepts are extensively explained in the secret tantras. Thus, proclaim once. As the Lord has instructed, I shall act accordingly. Thus, promise three times. At the three places (forehead, throat, heart), apply dots of scented water with the three syllables (Om, Ah, Hum), and bless the body, speech, and mind. In the mandala of lapis lazuli, place a branch that arises from the syllable Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum).
