The entrance is called a doorway, and the space between the two outer walls of the door is called an eave. The gatehouse is a general term for all of these, but some people think that some are called doorways and some are called eaves, both of which can be called gatehouses. Some people say that a wall for horses to stand on should be built above the gatehouse, and that only the inside of the door frame is considered a gatehouse, which is a contradictory statement. Regarding the location of the door leaf installation, some say it is the location of the baseline, some say it is the junction of the door frame and the door side, and some say that both places can be installed, and there is no contradiction in installing both places. However, some people insist on not installing door leaves in the door position, which is contrary to secular cognition and loses the function of being a door. Therefore, at the position of the baseline, take half a small share on the left and right as the four pillars of the door, and take one small share each for the upper and lower thresholds. In the middle, make a double door, and the width of each door is two small shares. The height should be determined according to the height of the door frame wall. If the wall height is ten parts, remove one part each at the top and bottom, and the door leaf is eight parts. If the wall height is thirteen and a half parts, the door leaf should be eleven and a half parts. Generally speaking, there is no fixed size for the door leaf, so it should be as appropriate as possible. If you make steps according to the method of contemplation and self-generation, the foundation of the mandala should be one part smaller than the width of the outside, and on the left and right sides of the door, up to the place where the pillars for the horses to stand are installed, starting from the center of the vajra, each side should be one large part higher. From the corner of the door frame to the edge of the vajra center, make a step with a door width of one large part, and there is no regulation on the number of steps, such as eight, sixteen, etc., as appropriate. If a step with the same width as the doorway appears in the middle, should the pillars supporting the upper doorway be installed on the eaves on the inside of the door on the left and right sides? If it is installed as described earlier, the pillar should be three small parts longer than before. However, the foundation of the mandala such as the purification tantra...

Those who do not perform the assembly vajra mostly use steps. Like the Kalachakra, there are many that do not have various vajras and do not mention steps. Those who make various vajras often do not make steps. In the mandalas of the lower three tantras, there are also specific designations for various vajras, some of which may exist, but mostly do not. Among Indian scholars, those after the six gates mostly make various vajras, but it is not certain for those before. Fifteenth, Horse-Headed Image: Generally, regarding the Horse-Headed Image, it is said that Indian scholars have three types: measurable, immeasurable, and mixed. The mixed one is like what the omniscient Ratnākaraśānti of the time of debate said, "Worldly manifestation," where the horizontal is determined as three doors, and the vertical is undetermined. For those who consider it immeasurable, there is no definite statement. However, many old paintings built in India and Nepal can be seen. For the measurable, there is a saying of four doors for the horizontal Horse-Headed Image, but not for the vertical. The long side of the current four-cloth Horse-Headed Image matches the lower cloth of the eleven-door one-cloth, so it can be combined with either. For the vertical three-door types, as stated in the Kalachakra, the top of the vase is included in the size of the Horse-Headed Image. Also, like the two three-door types that do not include the top of the Horse-Headed Image, as stated in the Mandala Ritual Vajra Garland. For the two-door types, there are eleven-cloth and eight-cloth types. Here, the top of the Horse-Headed Image is also not included. For the one-door type, there is one door vertically. Three doors in width, with eleven cloths, as stated in the Garland. Four cloths, four doors in width, and one door vertically, there are two types. These two also do not include the top of the Horse-Headed Image. Whether it is a painting or a sand mandala, the one-door type is easier, so Indian rituals mostly speak of the one-door type. However, what is said about the four cloths is the line drawing of the Armor of Faith. There may be some others, but most do not mention the four cloths.
