The experience of speech is that the flow of breath is almost imperceptible. The experience of the mind is clear and empty, without thought, and remains clear. At this time, there is also the fear of feeling like falling off a cliff, and the feeling that there is nothing, as some previous masters have said. In this way, known as the ten signs, the appearance of smoke and other things similar to their respective names and appearances, if all the experiences of the body, etc., are complete and appear in a certain order, then it is a definite sign. The appearance of other similar phenomena is called an uncertain sign, and this is how the terms are applied. The uncertain signs are like this: when the earth wind enters the central channel, Mount Meru, houses, etc., appear; when the water wind enters, lakes and rivers, etc., appear; when the fire wind enters, flames burning, etc., appear; when the wind of wind enters, phenomena such as whirlwinds and hailstones appear; when the wind of space enters, the sky and space, and empty spaces, etc., appear, as well as various phenomena such as a stretched blue cloth. In addition, there are things like the appearance of sunlight hitting a bee's wing, as well as small rainbow lights, and dim blurs, etc., which are summarized as the appearance of burning and the moon.
