Some consider adding the crown protrusion to the former five branches and meditating on the secret wheel to the latter five. They believe that in this way of practice, the secret wheel is universally applicable, and since the crown protrusion cannot actually be stabilized here, it will become stable in meaning as the secretly meditated crown protrusion, so it is placed as a substitute. Therefore, there appear to be two views on how to proceed as one of the ten divisions. From one perspective, it is also seen that there is no contradiction between the two. Recollection also has ten divisions, just like that. The King of Tantras says, "Thought and desire and body, sequentially mouth, excellent lotus, dry and food do not enter, trembling and madness and extreme ignorance, the mind is completely confused, and violent fainting. The smoke of the Vajra Holder and so on, ten extremely clear aspects, in the body of sentient beings in the world. Those that are extremely clear and definite, when the mind is in a state of fainting, that is who." This says that ordinary people who are controlled by sexual desire have attachment related to the ten states of desire. The ten states are: thinking of the object of desire in the mind; desiring sexual intercourse; the body becoming warm; the mouth becoming dry and other changes in appearance; being unable to focus on other activities such as food; the body trembling and the mind being unstable; behavior not being natural and being confused as if mad; being controlled by desire and not knowing what to do and what not to do, becoming ignorant; even other factors such as moonlight and sound causing the desire to waver and be unsteady, that is, confusion; and finally, when engaging in sexual intercourse, being completely controlled by the pleasure of ejaculation, so that memory, mindfulness, and discrimination are lost, that is, fainting. These ten states each contain a part of the pleasure of ejaculation at their respective times, and each has a different thought of desire that experiences it. These are also the objects to be purified at this time, and by taking them as examples, the ten stages of melting bliss and immutability that are similar to them arise, which are the ten divisions of recollection. Furthermore, in the stage of recollection related to karma mudra and jnana mudra, there is also bliss similar to the ten states of desire.

Even if they arise in successive sets of ten, until one is unable to fully guide the melting bliss with just the empty form, one has not reached the actual practice of recollection. It is merely the practice or preliminary of recollection that is labeled as recollection. Therefore, at the time of the actual practice of recollection, when the consort of the syllable "dhu" fully generates the melting bliss, one trains the state of thought. From the arising of melting bliss, unchanging and appearing to pervade all appearances, similar to that, up to the intermediate eight, which are also combined in sequence. Finally, when the consort of the bindu fully generates the melting bliss, one trains the state of fainting. From the arising of unchanging bliss, similar to that, a bliss equal to the sky, there are ten aspects. The ten distinctions of the other limbs are not solely determined by the distinction of the actual practice. The reason for combining them in this way at the time of recollection is that the sets of ten are equal in number. Alternatively, although each set of ten exists as distinct entities in the three states, it is also permissible to combine similar types and reduce them to ten, as the Lama said. The stages of samadhi are also ten in number. As stated in the commentary, this is also because there are ten aspects due to the absence of life, etc. As it is said, in the lower five chakras, the five root winds gradually cease, becoming the nature of non-arising, and in the crown, the five branch winds, such as the dragon, also cease in sequence, resulting in ten aspects. In general, the downward-moving wisdom element, etc., is the combination of the ten winds with their respective elements. However, in detail, the downward-moving also includes the five elements, etc. It is not that each wind pervades each element, and the ten winds such as life-sustaining never pervade the ten winds of the aggregates and elements. Therefore, the general way in which the winds of the five elements cease, and the specific way in which the winds such as life-sustaining cease, these two different sequences occur here, but they are not contradictory. Secondly, the method of combining similar types is as stated in the Song of the Yogi: "Ah ray ah ho, listen, children, listen! The mind is agitated, and the attainment of appearance, and abiding, and cessation, and burning, for the sake of bliss, there are thirty-six." As it is said, and it is known as the Kalachakra Oral Transmission.
