If all the qualities of diligence are lost and stolen, then what need is there to mention those who are small in diligence and lax? When abandoning deceitful teachers, even if one has a similar experience, if one is not proficient in the meaning of the profound tantras, one will not know whether one's own practice is good or bad. If one needs to ask others, it is best to ask the root guru who teaches this Dharma. Otherwise, if one asks someone who has a good understanding and experience of this Vajrayogini Dharma, doubts can be resolved and it will become better. Speculators without practice, and hypocrites who pretend to have practice, even if the practice of other religions is very good, for those who have not tasted the flavor of this profound Dharma, they will never answer questions about their own experiences such as the experiences and realizations of the Six Yogas, the essential instructions for practice, and the way the guru introduces them, not even a single word. If they do answer questions, they will think that this is a wrong path. Because it is inconsistent with their own tradition, they will mostly slander it. Some people think that this seems to be a self-righteous practice, and if they say that this is good, they will feel that this Dharma and the guru become important, and thus jealousy arises. If they denigrate this, they will feel that their previous Dharma and faith in the guru will disappear, and thus they are more likely to fall under my control, so they may also slander in a deceitful way. In this way, when others slander, one will also have doubts and wavering, and thus there is a danger of losing this good Dharma and going down the wrong path. For example, someone who has no experience with gems has a gem in their hand that is definitely a gem, and someone says it is a gem. If he shows it to various people and asks, some people, because they have no experience with gems, cannot recognize it and thus slander it. Some deceitful people, even if they know it is a gem, will say that it looks like an ordinary stone, there is no such thing among gems, and will offer a very small price, or steal it in a joking way. There are also some people who do not show it to others, but show it to someone who does not pretend and is not deceitful, and who truly understands gems, and that person will truthfully say what kind of gem it is, its signs are this and this, its value is this much, and so on. In this way, not only will the gem not be lost, but it will not matter even if it is damaged in the future.
