Do so. All actions done are seen as the source of suffering. Even the merit of striving is ultimately the cause of wandering in samsara. Other karmas need not be mentioned. At this very moment, be sure to prepare for the future. Accumulating karma through afflictions, experiencing suffering. The appearance of impure samsara arises. Like a silkworm spinning its cocoon, binding oneself, there is never a day of liberation. Experiencing immeasurable suffering. Because one's own mind has not been allowed to abide in its natural state, one becomes attached to one thing and hates another. Not realizing the true nature, one's head spins. Whatever affliction arises is one's own mind. Karma is accumulated by afflictions, therefore this wheel of suffering turns, its root arises from one's own mind. Liberation is also liberated in one's own mind. This is the fourth talk on karma and its results. The state of samsara is like this, so stop endless suffering and attain the state of constant bliss. Be sure to obtain it at this moment. The three of view, conduct, and meditation must be complete and put into practice. Like a spear placed in a sheath, these three are interdependent. Even if conduct without view is good, it is attachment to characteristics, which is a cause of samsara. A view that lacks conduct does not complete the accumulation of merit and has the danger of falling into the abyss of nihilistic views. Without meditation, view and conduct are like a treasure buried underground, which is of no benefit. Just as in the house of a poor person, under a space as tall as seven talas, there is an inexhaustible treasure of jewels, but the poor person still suffers from hunger. Although many good views and conduct are spoken of, if they are separated from the actual practice of meditation, and the mind and Dharma are not mixed, it is difficult to be helpful when needed. The Buddha, the common ancestor of sentient beings, for the benefit of sentient beings, taught the three trainings of discipline, wisdom, and mind. The training of discipline is conduct, the training of wisdom is view, and meditation is the training of mind, so be diligent in these three trainings. The king of views is free from extremes, free from the extreme of permanence of grasping at existence, free from the extreme of annihilation of grasping at non-existence, not grasping at anything, this is the Middle Way. From the fully enlightened Buddha above, down to the hell realms, outside to the earth, stones, mountains, and rock worlds, inside to the five aggregates, twelve sources, and eighteen realms.
