Whatever happens, may fear and weariness never arise towards it, but may it become a friend to virtuous practice, so that there is no unhappiness from the occurrence of undesirable things, etc. If you can remain undistracted, then you are accomplished. Without suppressing it with a specially targeted antidote, and even if mindfulness does not hold it, the two aspects of bodhicitta will effortlessly arise together upon all enemies and friends, happiness and suffering, and harm-doers. These four are the measure of having reached the essential point of mind training. Even if you have these, it does not mean that you do not need to meditate later. 6) Sixth, the commitments of mind training Sixth, regarding the commitments of mind training, "Always train in the three general points." This means not contradicting the acceptance of mind training, not being stained by the faults of the three vows, and not breaking the commitments. That is, without self-cherishing, abandon cutting down the wish-fulfilling tree of others, stirring up water sources, knocking down divine images, associating with lepers and beggars, etc., thereby making your conduct pure, and not being partial. That is, not training the mind only towards enemies or friends, or being able to endure harm from spirits but not being able to endure present harm, or being able to endure enemies and friends but not being able to endure suffering, or being able to endure all of that but losing the Dharma on top of happiness, etc., but not being partial, but training in all happiness and suffering, good and bad circumstances, etc. "Transform intentions and remain in your own place." This means transforming the intention of previously cherishing yourself and not cherishing others, and abandoning self-grasping. That is, "Without obviousness, remain in your own place. Do not speak of impaired limbs." That is, do not speak of the faults of others, and do not think of any aspect of others. "Do not think of any aspect of others." This means that if you see a fault in anyone, think, "This is my own impure appearance. I do not know if he has that, because my own appearance is impure." Like in the past, there were many who saw the Teacher, the Bhagavan, as having faults. You should cut off the faults in your own mind. "First train in whichever affliction is greatest." This means that after examining your own continuum, you must pile all the Dharma on top of whichever affliction is greatest. "Abandon all hope for results." This means that training the mind with the hope of controlling gods and demons, etc., or hoping to be considered a holy person, or to repay harm with benefit, etc., are deceptions, so abandon them. The saying "Abandon poisonous food" refers to abandoning self-cherishing and things.

Virtuous deeds motivated by clinging to inherent existence are poisonous, therefore, they should be understood as illusory like abandoning clinging. "Do not rely on a good government" means do not hold grudges against harm done by others. "Do not aggravate bad wounds" means do not expose the faults of others. "Do not wait for opportunities" means even if many years have passed since someone caused harm, do not forget, and do not retaliate when you have the chance. "Do not strike at the vital point" means do not reveal the shortcomings of others, do not use harsh words, do not recite the life mantras of non-humans, etc., do not say words that cause pain in the hearts of others. "Do not transfer the mule's burden to the ox" means do not shift bad responsibilities to others, and do not cunningly transfer difficult tasks that fall upon you to others. "Do not turn a god into a demon" means if your mind becomes rigid after practicing mind training, it is like turning a god into a demon, therefore, while practicing the Dharma a little, you should make your mind more and more tame. "Do not practice fasting" means if you practice mind training hoping to pacify illness, pacify evil spirits, and avert bad omens, it is like performing rituals, healing, and reciting Bon scriptures, so you should practice without arrogance, attachment, hope, and doubt. "Do not seek suffering in the branches of happiness" means if a patron becomes ill or dies, you hope to accumulate merit; if a monastic friend or Dharma brother dies, you hope to obtain scriptures, statues, etc.; if someone equal to you dies, you hope that only you will receive merit; if an enemy dies, you hope to feel happy. In short, you should abandon the hope that others will suffer and be displeased for your own happiness. 7) Instructions on Mind Training 7) The instructions on mind training are: Do all yogas with one. This means that the yoga of food, the yoga of clothing, the yoga of sleep, the yoga of sitting, etc., all of these should be practiced with the sole intention of benefiting others. Do all reversals with one. This means that if, during practice, there are increased illnesses, harm, hatred from others, or increased afflictions while practicing, then the practice is reversed. The antidote to all these reversals is to imagine that all the unpleasantness and suffering of all beings are gathered on top of all these unpleasant things, and to practice the antidote of exchanging self and others. Do two things at the beginning and end. This means having the intention in the morning to not be stained by the defilements of sins and faults today.
