Since there is no record here, and there are too many words, I will not elaborate further for fear of causing panic. Just a brief explanation: at that time, food was very scarce. It is estimated that each person needed at least five *གྲ་བག་* (a unit of grain) of food per month, equivalent to the value of a tree. If the scribes worked six days a month, the best scribes could copy twelve or thirteen *འཁོར་དྲུག་* (a unit of currency), the average ones could copy six, eight, or nine *འཁོར་དྲུག་*, and the worst ones could copy five or six *འཁོར་དྲུག་*. The best engravers could engrave six or eight *འཁོར་དྲུག་* per month, the average ones could engrave six *འཁོར་དྲུག་*, and the worst ones could engrave four or five *འཁོར་དྲུག་*. By calculating in this way, one can get a rough idea of the situation. Starting from the Dragon year, about forty works were copied and engraved. For three years, the government paid wages, paying five or six *འཁོར་དྲུག་*, or four *འཁོར་དྲུག་*, per month, depending on the situation. After that, due to illnesses and other reasons, work was suspended for several years. Starting from the Dog year, it continued for another five years, with the government still paying wages as before. There were twenty to fifty workers, working four to six days a month, copying and engraving, as mentioned earlier. There were also a small number of privately printed editions. As for how much money the government spent on these activities, it can be seen from the previous descriptions. If calculated, the annual expenses were enormous. Just the wages for fifty people for four months required two hundred *ཁལ་* (a unit of volume) of grain. If each person was also given three *རྒྱུག་ཁྲ་* (a type of food) and three *ཞོ་* (a unit of currency), then it would require two hundred and fifty *ཁལ་*, totaling three hundred and fifty *ཁལ་*. From this, one can see the magnitude of the expenses. Second, regarding the donations. As mentioned earlier, if *དཔལ་སྤུངས་དབོན་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་* (Palpung Wönpo Rinpoche, a reincarnate lama of Palpung Monastery) had not had internal disputes, he would have covered all the printing costs. But even though things changed, while he was still alive, he donated one thousand *ཇ་* (a unit of currency) and three hundred *འཁོར་དྲུག་*. After his death, two hundred and fifty *ཇ་* were taken from his belongings and given to the steward *པདྨ་ལེགས་གྲུབ་* (Padma Lekdrup) as seed money. Later, from *སྐྱབས་རྗེ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོ་* (Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, a great scholar), he received silver worth five *རྡེལ་ཚད་* (a unit of weight), from *དཔལ་ཡུལ་རྒྱ་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་* (Palyul Gyatrul Rinpoche, a reincarnate lama of Palyul Monastery) he received silver worth ten *རྡེལ་ཚད་*, the two *ལྷ་འབྲང་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་* (Lha-brang Tulku) donated silver worth five *རྡེལ་ཚད་*, *རྫོགས་ཆེན་མཁན་པོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་འོད་ཟེར་* (Dzogchen Khenpo Konchok Odzer) donated twenty-five *སྲང་* (a unit of weight) of silver, and *ལྕགས་ལ་མཁན་སྤྲུལ་* (Chakla Khenpo Tulku) donated fifty *འཁོར་དྲུག་*, all of which were given to *པད་ལེགས་* (Pad Lek). Later, *ཀཿཐོག་རྨོག་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་* (Katok Moktrul Rinpoche) donated silver worth three *རྡེལ་ཚད་*, the two *ཞེ་ཆེན་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་* (Shechen Tulkus) donated silver worth three *རྡེལ་ཚད་*, and *གླིང་རྗེ་དྲུང་སྤྲུལ་སྐ* (Lingje Drung Tulku) donated silver worth three *རྡེལ་ཚད་*. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Dharma Lord Lama Saljé of Palpung Monastery donated 25 silver coins, 3 horses, and 3 measures of grain. The benefactor of all of the teachings, A-Thub, donated 600 tea circles from Kar-Tshang. Bawoor Rinpoche Thubten Chöpel Gyatso and Dorje Lopön Pema Norbu were dispatched to collect donations from Hor region, each contributing about 600 tea circles. In addition, there were various small items, mostly mixed red and other goods, including horses. The items from Kathok and Zhechen Lama Saljé were handed over to the caretaker Tashi Gelek, who then distributed them to the work teams. The items from Ling Je-drung and Bawoor were handed over to the Lama, and distributed according to his instructions. The 600 tea circles from La-kar-tshang were counted as donations for both the Pig and Rat years, and were delivered by myself. All these items from all directions are sure to ripen into virtue. In the Iron Tiger year, Zhuchen Lhaksam Gyaltsen had to go to Tibet to serve Gyalwang Karmapa. During the three summers until the Wood Horse year, the remaining blocks were carved as before. From Dzogchen Choktrul Rinpoche, five measures of red goods were received. I myself donated ten measures of tea silver and seven measures of goods, as before. The scholars Lama Trakphel and Karma Tsedpal were responsible for proofreading and continuing the work. Gewa Wangchuk, who was devoted to virtue, was in charge of the beginning and end of all the blocks, and distributed them to the respective work teams, thus completing the work, so says Gunapa. When the construction of the Namkar Great Gate began, the caretaker Pema Lekdrup reported to Sakya Trizin Chögyal, along with offerings. Because the writing and carving work teams faced various forms of tax relief in their residences, those ignorant of cause and effect made harsh criticisms. However, with the support of virtue, the construction of the temple was finally completed, which is an incidental matter. A brief account of the proofreading process: Third, a brief account of the proofreading process: Such a profound and vast treasury of Dharma can only be accurately determined through triple examination by the two Lamas. Therefore, the treasurer Tsering Dondrup and Palpung... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
