(Oṃ Supratiṣṭha Vajra Ye Svāhā)

Thinking 'I', in order to request the empowerment of immortal life before him, please repeat: 'Please, please, Lama Amitāyus, for the benefit of myself and all sentient beings, to liberate us from untimely death, today please grant the immortal, primordially pure Vajra life.' (Recite three times) In gatherings for empowerment, etc., at this time, explain the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment, the consequences of karma, the faults of samsara, etc., and in order to liberate oneself and others from it, take refuge in the Three Jewels, and for the sake of confession, make this introduction. In the space in front, in the presence of Amitāyus, who is inseparable from the Lama, in order to take refuge in the Three Jewels, confess sins, take vows again, and dedicate the roots of virtue for the benefit of sentient beings, please repeat the following: 'I take refuge in the Three Jewels,' etc., until 'For the benefit of beings, may I attain Buddhahood.' (Recite three times) Purify the students with Oṃ Vajra Amrita Kuṇḍali Hana Hana Hūṃ Phaṭ. Purify all the defilements of grasping at the vessel, contents, aggregates, elements, and sense bases as ordinary with Oṃ Svābhāva Śuddha Sarva Dharmāḥ Svabhāva Śuddho 'Haṃ. From emptiness, this place where we are turns into a lotus, in the splendor of the pure land of Sukhavati, in the center of the spontaneously accomplished nature of the five wisdoms, on a lotus and moon. The students visualize the red seed syllable Hrih. From the Hrih syllable, light radiates, making offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, benefiting sentient beings, then the light returns and expands, manifesting as: the Protector Amitāyus, with a red body, possessing peaceful and smiling radiance, emitting billions of rays of light from his body. His two hands are in the meditation mudra, above which he is holding a long-life vase made of seven precious jewels, filled with nectar, adorned with a wish-fulfilling tree. His two feet are in the vajra posture, adorned with divine garments and precious jewels. On his crown is a white Oṃ, at his throat is a red Āḥ, and at his heart is a blue Hūṃ. From the Hūṃ syllable, light radiates, inviting the Amitāyus deity assembly as visualized from the pure lands such as the Western Pure Land of Sukhavati and the Rakshasa realm. The students visualize the deity merging into their bodies, which are inseparable from the samaya being. Oṃ Amaraṇi Jīvantī Vajra Āyuṣe Jñāna Aveśaya Āḥ Ja Hūṃ Baṃ Ho. Play drums and bells, etc., and burn incense. Generate the confidence that the wisdom being that has been invited is integrated into the student and made stable.
