Through the efforts of translators and great Indian scholars, taking rebirth as emanations, may the unsullied banner of the doctrine be raised, benefiting beings, raining down the nectar of the two benefits like rain, may the teachings of Padmasambhava flourish! Furthermore, the common sciences such as grammar, logic, crafts, medicine, etc., and the uncommon Tripitaka of Sutras, Vinaya, and Abhidharma, the six tantras, etc., bound by the six limits and four seals, from the realm of accomplished ones and noble beings, all the profound scriptures and instructions that are difficult for ordinary people to comprehend, are gathered by the incarnate translators who are like actual Buddhas. By the power of mastering the four correct knowledges, without relying on others, completely independently, without error in words or meaning, that is, without increase or decrease in words and without error in meaning, they are first translated. In the middle, they are revised and corrected by new terms, etc., even precisely to the extent of chapters and volumes, and finally determined by listening, teaching, and meditation, thereby initially opening the great door of the light of the sacred Dharma in the snowy land of Tibet. May the precious teachings of Padmasambhava flourish! Secondly, regarding the greatness of the Dharma to be translated, there are two types: the greatness of the vast and complete teachings and the greatness of the profound teachings possessing the essence of the doctrine. The first is further divided into three: the greatness of possessing both Sutras and commentaries, the greatness of combining Sutras and Terma (hidden treasures), and the greatness of combining extraordinary view and practice. The first is: 'May the teachings of Padmasambhava flourish, as fortunate disciples, practicing Sutra and Mantra, need not rely on others, for the scriptures and commentaries are complete.' That is to say, followers with good fortune accumulated from the past, according to their respective capacities, whether it is the Sutras of the Great Vehicle or the Small Vehicle, or the inner and outer practices of the Resultant Vehicle of Mantra, can practice well according to their own wishes, without relying on others, that is, without needing to rely on others, because there are the well-spoken words of the Buddha, and how the great charioteers have explained or interpreted the scriptures, including the profound instructions, that is, the complete nature of the path. May the teachings of Padmasambhava flourish! The second is the greatness of combining Sutras and Terma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Praise of the Greatness of Union: The true words of the teachings are like a vast ocean, adorned with profound Dharma treasures like jewels. The excellent paths of Sutra and Mantra are united, may the teachings of the Lotus-Born King flourish! This means that the one who speaks the truth without duality is the Buddha himself. Therefore, the great ocean of teachings spoken by him is deep and immeasurable, with an unbroken stream of lineage. Without being defiled by broken vows and conceptual thoughts, it is propagated by Vajradhara and accomplished Vidyadharas, and by the Dakinis of space. When the time is ripe, it appears in accordance with the capacity of beings to be tamed, and the blessings are faster than other methods. The profound Dharma treasure of the near lineage, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, is manifestly beautiful. The cause is the Sutra of Paramitas and other characteristics of the vehicle, and the result is the great secret of certainty, the two good traditions of the Mantra path. Knowing that a single person takes the conditions of the path to Buddhahood, these two are not contradictory, but the good path of union. May the teachings of the Lotus-Born King flourish! Third, praise of the greatness of the extraordinary union of view and conduct: The extraordinary conduct of Zahor Khenpo, and the incomparable view of the glorious Nagarjuna, the lineage of union of view and conduct is sealed with a seal. May the teachings of the Lotus-Born King flourish! That is to say, the extraordinary conduct of Zahor Khenpo is based on the Vinaya of the Sarvastivada school, one of the four major schools of the fundamental Sravakas. Outwardly, the practice of individual liberation and conduct is pure, inwardly, the mind is generated to the supreme Bodhicitta, and the conduct is related to the six perfections. This and the view of the glorious Nagarjuna, who is unparalleled and prophesied by the Buddha, must be united in view and conduct, and this lineage is sealed with a decree. This was also after the debate with Hwashang, the king decreed that the view should be based on Nagarjuna's system, the conduct should be based on the Vinaya, and the practice should be based on the lower three Tantras. The supreme Tantras were very secret and required strict secrecy, so they could not be widely practiced at that time, so they were not explicitly stated, but kept secret. And the view of the glorious Nagarjuna is that this great being, in the interpretation of the three turnings of the Dharma wheel, has composed three collections: the collection of discourses, the collection of reasoning, and the collection of praises. The ultimate meaning of the latter two is the same, not falling into either side of existence or non-existence. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
