Although (some translators) were monks, they made great contributions, and the Sakya masters openly praised figures like Jomo's brother. These are recorded in the collected works of the Sakya masters. These actions may have been necessary to tame disciples. Through this method of receiving teachings, the realization and experience of all those who received the teachings greatly matured. For the Vajrayana teachings, these translators and pandits were immensely kind. However, outwardly, they acted as if they were very eager for gold. Therefore, compared to those gold-desiring pandits, Padmasambhava and Vimalamitra, who had no need even if the earth were filled with gold, solely for the benefit of others, like the heart's blood of the dakinis in space, spread the precious Dharma in Tibet, wouldn't their teachings be more authoritative and reliable? The history of these pandits obtaining gold and returning to their own countries is not common, which also makes people trust the early Nyingma practitioners even more. The great pandit Atiśa, when examining the Sanskrit texts in Samye Monastery, found many Sanskrit scriptures that he had never seen before. He said, 'In this secret mantra, even the dakinis who are unknown to people have opened countless palace doors in space and revealed many tantras, but these (pandits) do not have them.' He also said, 'The Great Vehicle Secret Mantra itself has the ultimate decisiveness, which is different from other teachings.' Therefore, he was very satisfied and praised the Tibetan king of that time. The period when Buddhism flourished in Tibet did not even occur in India. India suffered three fires, and many scriptures were burned. There are many scriptures here (Tibet) that do not exist in India.' So he began to search for, copy, and send copies back to India. Guru Padmasambhava went to space and invited all the tantras from gods, nagas, and Nalanda, etc., to Samye Monastery. Therefore, Atiśa's biography states that he said the reason why there were fewer Indians than Tibetans was because of this. If the early tantras were false, then the great Atiśa should have said, 'These do not exist in India, they are fabricated by Tibetans.' But he did not say that. Later, he became the main figure in reviving Buddhism, and his position was unparalleled. Therefore, those great translators and pandits of the past were undoubtedly emanations of the compilers of the Dharma, Avalokiteśvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani. How do we know this? Through both scriptural and logical evidence. In terms of scriptural evidence, the Vimalaprabha states, 'All the Buddha's teachings were translated into Tibetan.' This shows that those great Tibetan translators were the compilers of the Buddha's teachings, because before this, the Buddha's teachings had not been translated into Tibetan. This is the view of great scholars like Bu-ston Rin-chen grub. From the perspective of logical evidence,... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we talk about the flourishing of Dharma in Tibet, it is like when Khenpo (Abbot Shantarakshita), Slob (Acharya Padmasambhava), and Chos (King Trisong Detsen) made aspirations together during the founding of Samye Monastery. The story of how Khenpo waited for the Dharma King for nine hundred years, and the fame of Padmasambhava are widely known in both China and Tibet. In addition, there are also Panditas such as Vimala (Vimalamitra), and incarnate translators such as Thonmi Sambhota and Vairotsana. When they initially translated the profound essence of Sutras and Tantras into Tibetan, if they could not accurately understand the meaning of each term, they would not be able to translate it accurately without error. Because before that, there were no terms for translating scriptures in Tibetan, so it was necessary to create new norms. Moreover, one word in Sanskrit may have multiple meanings, and if it is translated directly according to the literal meaning, it is difficult to accurately express its meaning. In particular, the words of Tantras are mostly embellished with six kinds of embellishments, and if one is not clairvoyant, one cannot directly transmit them, as stated by the omniscient Longchenpa. In India, great accomplished masters such as Saraha, Lunag, and Drilsum, as well as Vajradhara and the compilers of the teachings, heroes, and dakinis, have all prophesied, and they have elucidated and determined the meaning of Tantras. Therefore, all Sutra and Tantra teachings that transcend the realm of logic are translated by them in terms of meaning, so there is not the slightest error in meaning. Moreover, their translations are fluent and easy to understand, and even when compared with the Chinese original texts, no details are omitted. Later translators, when studying Chinese and Tibetan texts, were even more convinced of their translations and felt that there was no need to modify them. Among the later translators, the most outstanding was Rinchen Zangpo, who also said: 'In the Abhisamayalankara, only the sounds of araga and raga appear, and I did not know how to translate them. When I saw the early translations, I was very surprised that they translated them as 'without attachment' and 'free from attachment.' Vairotsana's wisdom is as vast as the sky, Kawa Peltsek and Chokro Lui Gyaltsen are as radiant as the sun and moon, Rinchen Zangpo is like the morning star at dawn, and I stand before them like a firefly. He praised the early translators immensely. Sakya Pandita, who was proficient in sound and meaning, also said: 'All translations into Tibetan by scholars who are proficient in Sanskrit are accurate. Those translations by people who are not proficient in Sanskrit have various errors in words and meanings. I have modified and explained these errors. Some of the translations by Kawa Peltsek and others are not very consistent in sound, some have made accurate translations in meaning, some use ancient language that is difficult to understand, some insist on using old translations, some have been modified with new terms, some retain Chinese transliterations, and some, because of the differences in the Kham dialect, have different explanations for the same Chinese character, resulting in different Tibetan translations.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
