In the writings of Indian paNDitas, although one can find a few sAdhanas (spiritual practice manuals) of the Nyingma Kagyé (rnying ma bka' brgyad, Eight Herukas of the Nyingma tradition), when asked, the paNDitas would say, 'I don't know, I don't know, it belongs to the old lamas.' And it is said that it is a secret and profound Dharma. Moreover, regarding Nub (gnubs), the master of life of the Nyingma, 'Gos Lhas Tsas ('gos lhas btsas) believed that it was authored by him. It is said that after he himself received the blessings and signs of the Nyingma, he went to India to seek profound teachings that would benefit him. The black paNDita (paNDita nag po pa) bestowed upon him the position of master of life of the Nyingma, and it was translated by the translator himself, which is now preserved in the Tanjur (bstan 'gyur), and this can serve as evidence. This 'Gos seems to be a scholar proficient in translation, but due to his hatred of the Nyingma and the resentment of being expelled from the monastery earlier, he uttered many slanders. It is said that he was such a person. It is said that he also slandered Gayadhara (gaya dhara). When he went to Drogmi Lotsawa ('brog mi'i lo tsA ba), he was frustrated because he did not receive some teachings, and even in India he said, 'If one does not complete outstanding studies, Drog Dom ('brog ldom) will be ashamed.' It is said that he even slandered his own guru. However, it is more likely that this 'Differentiation Treatise' ('byams yig) was not written by 'Gos Lotsawa ('gos lo) himself, but was done through the mouth of another. Because this 'Differentiation Treatise' clearly shows the words of a foolish and ignorant person. Even if it was written by 'Gos Lotsawa, it was only said out of unexamined rash words and jealousy, and ultimately exposed his own shortcomings, and that is the situation. Similarly, the 'Debate of the Glorious One: A Treatise Differentiating Dharma from Non-Dharma' (dpal 'dzin gyi rtsod yig chos dang chos ma yin pa rnam par dbye ba'i rab tu byed pa) clearly shows that he spoke out of extreme hatred for the Nyingma teachings. It is said that this was also because he hated his teacher. In any case, it is said that because of hating the Dharma, his body eventually split open and he died, and there are still traces of it today, as said by the Fifth Dalai Lama and others. Some say that he went to the pure land, but was it like Devadatta (lhas sbyin)? Whatever the power of the Nyingma may be, 'Vajra Hell Alala' (rdo rje'i dmyal ba a la la) (Tibetan), वज्रनरक अलला (Sanskrit Devanagari), vajranaraka alala (Sanskrit Romanization), Vajra Hell Alala (Literal Chinese meaning), a stone rain written in blood fell and sank underground, this is not a lie. This story is how it is circulated. Later, Taklung Ngawang Drakpa (stag lung ngag dbang grags pa) investigated and said that many reliable people believed it to be true. It is said that this was the beginning of slandering the Nyingma. The great translator Rinchen Zangpo (lo chen rin bzang) and Yeshe Ö (ye shes 'od), Yeshe Yeshe (ye shes 'od) and others forbade excessive indulgence in mantras, this is true, and both oneself and others should understand it in this way. After examination, one should refute those evil mantras that confuse the individual's capacity with incorrect Dharma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We absolutely do not denigrate the teachings of the Nyingma (ancient) school. Those who do not know think that this is preventing the Nyingma, but studying its meaning, there is absolutely no denigration. Shiva'o only vowed to prevent the tantras of the Nyingma school from being works, but there is no reason for this. Dpal 'dzin said all kinds of reasons that could not be refuted, but these reasons are easy to refute. The great scholar Sog zlog pa also gave a good answer, which is enough. In addition, scholars from earlier and later periods, such as rGya ra klong chen pa, have also written many debates and replies. Second, regarding the proof of scriptural authority: All the new tantras' explanations of the two stages of yoga are in agreement with the Nyingma tantras. The profound essence of these tantras is clearly explained in these tantras. These tantras are either completely consistent or completely inconsistent, which is the proof of scriptural authority. In particular, the unique Dharma terminology of Dzogchen can be confirmed by the ultimate great secret fruit's scriptural authority. Some unique Dharma terminology is slightly different from the well-known terminology of the new tantras, so thinking that this is not the Buddha's teaching is a very narrow-minded and childish statement. The Buddha's teachings have countless ways of revealing the Dharma, not just one repetitive way. For example, in the Kalachakra, it is also said that the stars move eastward, and China is located north of Tibet, etc. Regarding this, Rig ral and others say that these are incorrect. Re mda' ba also said: 'There is no evam (藏文:ཨེ་ཝཾ,梵文天城体:एवं,梵文罗马拟音:evam,汉语字面意思:Thus) in the root tantra, and many contradictions are found in the condensed tantra. Also, the source from which it came is not visible, who would trust this thing like a bastard?' etc., refuting it in various ways. But nowadays, the Kalachakra Tantra is recognized as the pinnacle of all tantras. Relying on this Kalachakra Tantra, one can realize the special characteristics of Togal of Dzogchen as the ultimate path. Just as the Buddha said: 'Tantras should be understood through other tantras.' etc. In Guhyasamaja and other tantras, it is necessary to measure with six limits, which are hidden in the Vajra words. In some profound tantras, they are explained without being hidden. Therefore, Kalachakra is called opening the door of the Buddha's precious Ratna Samatod. Because from there, the wisdom of the fourth empowerment is shown more clearly, so one can be sure of the ultimate intention of the fruit of all tantras. Third, regarding the proof of reason: Purifying the tantra itself through three observations, the general mantra tantra and especially the Dzogchen tantra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
