If it is not, then talking about the pure land is meaningless. If it is, then there are two reasons why it is unreasonable: If it is said that to view the pure land of the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body), one must be a person with the realization of the sixth Bhumi (level of a Bodhisattva). But to see your pure land, one does not even need the truth of the first Bhumi, because when it is shown to an ordinary person, he sees it immediately, so there is no need for a person to see the pure land. If the Sambhogakaya's pure land is characterized, then just as the level of practice increases, one will eventually see a wider pure land. Eventually, one will see a great radiance and countless sights. Your own level is the highest, and according to the Dharma nature, the appearance of the pure land will gradually shrink, and eventually become invisible. Therefore, this is an appearance on the path, not a pure land, so the nature of the pure land is not pure. What do you have to say about this statement that is directly refuted by scripture and reason? Or do you think that our manifestation of Dharma nature is the same as the signs of smoke, etc., spoken of by others, and there is no fault? Smoke, etc., are stable experiences of abiding in Samadhi (meditative concentration), without opening or closing the eyes, without day or night, and not dependent on whether favorable conditions are complete. But you say that if the mind is distracted, it is not clear when the eyes are closed, and it is not clear without the sun and various external conditions. So, in no way are they the same. Even if they are the same, the signs of smoke, etc., are only the appearance of the path, like drawing smoke from fire, and are not even considered the highest Samadhi. Because they are only the skin of experience, they should be abandoned to attain liberation. But the manifestation of Dharma nature is a pure pure land, so liberation is attained through seeing, and therefore it is considered the highest Samadhi. The goals of these two are completely different. Therefore, these are similar to many Bon practices of looking at light, and they believe that if one's own body merges into the light, one will attain the Yungdrung (Tibetan: གཡུང་དྲུང་, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , Chinese literal meaning: ) body without remainder; if the light merges into oneself, one will attain the Yungdrung body with remainder. This seems to be no different from their view, so what reason is there to eliminate this similarity? If some answers are given to these questions, then the essence of the Buddha's teachings is emptiness and great compassion. As the 'Stainless Light Sutra' says: 'If someone says that emptiness and great compassion are non-dual, then this is the definitive conclusion of Buddhism.' Here, great compassion is without attachment and without conceptual thought; emptiness is endowed with all perfections and enters the three times in order to fully understand the three times. What is said here is that emptiness and great compassion are non-dual, and this is also the definitive conclusion of Buddhism. Emptiness... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It transcends all analysis of emptiness (stong pa nyid), such as viewing emptiness as a mere void or an expansive emptiness. The perfect and complete great wisdom of the Sugatas (bde bar gshegs pa, Tathagatas) is luminosity, the very form of emptiness endowed with all supreme aspects. As Mañjuśrī (Jam dpal) says in the 'Brief Indication of View': 'Aggregates analyzed are emptiness, like a plant in water, devoid of essence. Emptiness endowed with all supreme aspects, thus it does not change. Without arising, without ceasing, what is there to know? What is seen here? The empty entity is emptiness itself, not an analysis of the aggregates.' So, what is this luminosity like? In the 'Essence of Wisdom': 'Bhagavan (bcom ldan 'das), what is called luminosity? Where does it reside?' The Bhagavan replied: 'Luminosity is a bindu (thig le) residing in the sphere of space, and it leads to the attainment of the Great Seal (phyag rgya chen po, Mahamudra).' Furthermore, in the 'Five Stages of Guhyasamaja': 'Dependent on the Buddhas of the five families, the Great Seal is constant, arising as five rays of light, like a rainbow in the sky.' Furthermore, in the 'Bindu of Liberation': 'Holding the form of the Great Seal, like an illusion, like a rainbow, training one's own and others' continuums, is called true luminosity.' The luminosity described above appears to have characteristics. As it says in the 'Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning': 'Those whose minds are free from support, transcending the extremes of existence and non-existence, for those profound and signless ones, contemplate the meaning of characteristics.' Nāropa said: 'It is a precursor to the result of suchness, therefore it has characteristics.' So, what are these things? They are merely appearances of the mind. As the text says: 'Born from one's own mind, like a reflection in a mirror.' Therefore, it is merely an appearance of the mind, and not any other phenomenon. The mind is also free from conceptualization and is unadulterated direct perception. Since it is merely an appearance of the mind, it is not an appearance of conceptual thought generated by habitual tendencies, nor is it like the appearance of two moons seen by someone with an eye ailment, which is a distorted sensory appearance. It is not a distorted appearance of consciousness, nor is it an appearance of the five sense consciousnesses, because it is not an establishment of an object. It is an appearance of the undistorted consciousness of the mind, because the teacher Āryadeva considers that the faculty of the mind has three appearances. The teacher Gewasang Nyingpo also... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
