Thereafter, Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and Vairochana received the teachings and propagated them. The third is the transmission through personal oral instruction, which is the lineage of Tibet. As prophesied in the prophecy of the Immaculate Goddess: 'Two thousand five hundred years after my complete Nirvana, the teachings will flourish in the land of the red-faced Tibetans.' As the prophecy stated, from King Nyatri Tsenpo, who came from the Shakya and Licchavi clans, to the twenty-seventh generation of kings, Lha Thothori Nyantsen, an emanation of Avalokiteśvara, during his reign, the 'Do de Zamatog Sutra', the 'Hundred Syllable Confession Sutra', and a stone box engraved with the Cintamani dharani, appeared on the top of Yumbu Lakhang Palace, marking the beginning of the sacred Dharma. Five generations later, King Songtsen Gampo, an emanation of Avalokiteśvara, invited two representative Buddha statues from China and Nepal. He built one hundred and eight temples, including Rasa Trulnang, to subdue the borders and further subdue the borders. Minister Thonmi Sambhota created the Tibetan script when there was no script in Tibet. He translated twenty-one sutras and tantras of Avalokiteśvara. He established the ten virtues for the country, initiating the sacred Dharma. Five generations later, King Trisong Detsen, an emanation of Manjushri, invited Abbot Bodhisattva from Metok Ling in Zahor and Guru Padmasambhava from Oddiyana. He subdued all the black forces of gods and non-humans, and employed the white forces of gods and demons, building temples whose regulations were naturally accomplished like the unchanging Dharma of the Buddhas of the three times. The Abbot ordained Ba Ratna, Vairochana, and other seven chosen men and five monks, propagating the Vinaya and establishing the Sarvastivada school. Guru Padmasambhava matured nine destined disciples and others in the mandala of the assembly of the Sugatas. At that time, when throwing their respective flowers, the king's flower fell on the great supreme place in the center, Nup Namkhai Nyingpo's flower fell on Yangdag in the east, similarly, Nub Sangye Yeshe's flower fell on Shinje in the south, Nyanlam Gyalwa Chokyang's flower fell on Wangchen in the west, Jomo Kharchenza's flower fell on Dorje Zhonnu in the north, Drokben Palgyi Yeshe's flower fell on Mamo in the southeast, Lang Palgyi Senge's flower fell on Drekpa Kundul in the northwest, and Pagor Vairochana's flower fell on Dodpa Drakngag in the northeast. Each obtained their respective tantras and sadhanas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They attained accomplishment through practicing the bestowed lands, becoming inseparable from the principal deities of their respective lineages. Furthermore, one hundred and eight paṇḍitas, including the master Vimalamitra, Śāntigarbha, and Dharmakīrti, were invited from India. The great Tibetan translators Vairocana and Namnying, among others, traveled to India. Additionally, Kawa Paltsek, Chokro Lui Gyaltsen, and other incarnate great translators, together with the paṇḍitas, translated, explained, and meditated upon countless collections of sūtras, tantras, treatises, and instructions, thereby establishing the Buddha's teachings like the rising sun. Among these, concerning the tradition of the Secret Illusion, the Omniscient One considered there to be three translations: early, intermediate, and later. When Sangye Sangwa was residing in Gangtise (Mount Kailash), he taught Branka Murti, Dawa Manjushri, and Vairocana, from which the early translation originated. Padmasambhava empowered Jñānakumāra and Nganlam Gyalwa Chokyang in Chimphu, translated it into Sanskrit, and propagated it in India, which is the intermediate translation. Vimalamitra taught Jñānakumāra and Ma Rinchen Chok in the spontaneously accomplished intermediate chamber of Samye, which is considered the later translation. All three of these lineages are gathered together. From Nup Sangye Yeshe, the lineage passed successively to Zurme Wön and others, which is the Zur lineage. From Nupchen, through Pagor Lönchen Phak and others, the lineage passed successively from the Omniscient Rongzompa and Longchen Rabjampa, from which many traditions of precepts arose. The sections of the Anuyoga, the collection of sūtras, were propagated by Nup Sangye Yeshe Rinpoche after hearing them from four scholars of India, Nepal, and Brusha. In the Great Perfection (Dzogchen), Atiyoga, the sections of the outer and inner Mind Sphere (Semde Long), were mainly propagated by the great translator Vairocana after requesting them from the master Shrī Siṃha and others. In the category of Instructions (Mengakde), there are the precepts of Padmasambhava, Vairocana, and Vimalamitra. The first two arose from treasures, and the latter has both transmitted and treasure lineages. Regarding this, the Omniscient Rongzompa considered there to be seven descents of secret mantras: the first descent is when the Second Buddha of Orgyen bestowed them upon his heart-sons, Jetsun and others, nine heart-sons with karmic connections; the second is when the accomplished Namkhai Nyingpo traveled to India and heard them from the master Hūṃkāra and others; the third is when the master Śāntigarbha spoke them during the consecration of Samye; the fourth is when the master Sangye Sangwa taught them to Dawa Manjushri and others from Gangtise and offered them as a gift to the king. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
