However, some people, even if they are old, can still procreate if they have a good constitution and are free from disease. Although there is no absolute certainty, restorative medicines can be used, divided into root and branch parts. The root medicines are those that promote the formation of the body: three types of unoxidized gold (promote the formation of consciousness), pearls, small conch shells, worm-free peacock feathers (promote the formation of the senses), including the five fingers (toes) of the hands and feet, Bodhi seeds, Longtang essence (promote fertility), and three large, medium, and small eyeless pregnant conches (promote fertility). Medicines that promote the birth of a son: cinnabar and white sandalwood (two types) (preserve the father's semen), one portion of mature male sperm (preserves the father's semen), black guggul, musk, and pure water (these three are used to protect against evil spirits). These are known as the root medicines. For young people, six excellent medicines (good things) can be added on top of these. For children with both parents alive, grind equal amounts of the medicines into a fine powder and make them into pills (about the size of a male broad bean). Consecrate each with the འབྲང་མའི་སྔགས（Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal meaning:འབྲང་མའི་ seed syllable）and the procreation and growth mantra, as well as the mantras of the Three Roots, etc. Choose a full moon day when the stars are auspicious, make offerings to the deities, and take the pills. At dawn, have the child take three pills each day, continuously for twenty-one days without interruption, and guard them carefully. For the elderly and weak, two additional auxiliary medicines are needed: Medicines that strengthen and promote the growth of the body's parts: camphor, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica, Emblica officinalis, Ghim-li-shi, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, saffron, etc. These medicines should be taken alternately.
