On the drawn eight-petaled lotus, write the eight root mantras of the principal palace of the Buddha. Then behind it, write the encircling long mantra. Further behind, write the vowels and consonants, the heart of dependent origination, and steadfast wisdom. Then behind that, on the ten spokes, write the mantras of the ten wrathful deities: 'མ་མ་རཀྵ་ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།' (Tibetan) On each spoke, write the complete protective addition. Beside the ten spokes, write ten 'ཧཱུྃ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari: हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) and ten 'ཕཊཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal meaning: Phat). Then on the encircling area behind that, write the pleasing mantra: 'ཨཱོྃ་ན་མཿས་མནྟ་བུདྡྷཱ་ནཱཾ།' (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओं नमः समन्त बुद्धानाम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ namaḥ samanta buddhānāṃ, Literal meaning: Homage to all Buddhas) etc., writing the long mantra in a revolving manner. On the encircling area behind that, write the mantras of the peaceful and wrathful deities. Write the heart mantras of the three protectors of the family, Hayagriva, Vajravarahi, and Shakyamuni Buddha, as well as the Heart Sutra. Add 'ཤམ་བུར་པུ་ཏྲ་པུཥྚིང་' (Tibetan) to all of them. The encircling area behind that is surrounded by a vajra fence. On the outer circle, draw crossed vajras and a mountain of fire. Anoint with beautiful colors, fragrant scents, and medicines. Use camphor, saffron, agaru, and sandalwood. Roll three pillars into a triple crescent moon shape. Draw the wheels like small models. Consecrate them in a common way, especially reciting the mantras written on the chakras hundreds of times or more. Wrap white mustard seeds, royal medicine, and regency medicine pills in red silk. Recite the accompanying mantras thousands of times each. Fulfill the commitments of the lama, yidam, dakini, and so forth, as well as worldly and transworldly beings. Please them with offerings, and wrap the chakras with silk. To overcome the inauspiciousness of the coming year from others, and the respective accompanying chakras, place them on the left side, like a body and its shadow. When wearing them, fumigate the body with gugul incense, bless with bathing, purification, and tormas, invoke the deities, attract prosperity, and establish auspiciousness. Arrange joyful feasts, music, and auspicious connections. Perform all of these during the waxing moon's auspicious times and constellations. Then, during the waning moon's declining times, summon, bind, and wrap up harmful spirits. Recite: 'གནོད་བྱེད་ཐུན་བྷྱོ་ཨ་ཏི་རྦད།' (Tibetan) 'གནོད་བྱེད་ཆེ་གེ་མོ་ཐུན།' (Tibetan) 'ཆུང་སྲི་སོད་སོད།' (Tibetan) 'ས་མ་ཏ་སརྦ་བིག་ནཱན་ཐུཾ་རི་ལི་ལི་སོད།' (Tibetan) etc., many times, and stuff them into the skull of a monkey or owl. Wrap it with hope, and curse it with five scents. Dig a hole under the mother's bed and bury it. Seal the opening with a piece of wood the length of one's own height. From above, perform a wrathful dance, pressing down and tormenting. Press down with fire and water, and say, 'Suppress the small spirit'. Visualize pressing the harmful small spirit under the great Mount Meru, into the depths of the great ocean, so that it will not rise for a thousand kalpas.
