In those four places, place a golden beverage vessel and a sacrificial sheep each. On the upper east side of the first tier, place a red round Torma (food offering) symbolizing the sun; below, place a white round Torma for Indra. To the southeast, place a red round Torma for the fire god (Agni). To the south, place a black triangular Torma for Yama and to the southwest for Rakshasa. On the upper west side, place a white round Torma for the water god (Varuna) and on the lower west side for the earth god (Prithvi). To the northwest, for the wind god (Vayu); to the north, for Yaksha; to the northeast, for Ishana, place a black round Torma for each of these three. Prepare a meal, a clay castle, a sheep, a golden beverage vessel, and a silk brocade offering for each of the ten directional guardians (Dikpala), and place them in their respective positions. On the east side of the second tier, prepare a silver round castle with a banner, a white round Torma decorated with various medicines, a meal, a white yak, a sacrificial sheep, and a golden beverage vessel for each of the eight gods (Deva), and place them in their respective positions. In the east, prepare a round clay castle with a banner for the great Ishana, a round Torma mixed with horse blood, fat, and heart, surrounded by four identical Tormas, a container of five kinds of alcohol, various flowers, five precious jewels, five medicines, various meats and hearts, molasses, rice (unmixed), and various silk offerings.
