Through the sound of དྨེ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Deh Hung), may the deceased instantly transform into the noble Avalokiteśvara, like the king of the sky. May the three places of his body be marked with the three syllables (Om, Ah, Hum), and his heart be marked with the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Hrih). From the heart of the master mandala, may immeasurable light radiate, and from the realm of self-nature and the boundless Buddha-fields, may immeasurable wisdom beings, inseparable from the meditator, come forth and merge, making the Samaya being and the Wisdom being inseparable. May you believe that your body, speech, and mind are blessed as the body, speech, and mind of the Buddha. Place the body mandala on the crown of your head. May all beings become protectors, subduing the armies of demons and their retinues, and knowing all things as they are. I invite the Blessed One and his retinue to come to this place. ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Om Mani Padme Hum) ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོཿ (Dzah Hum Bam Hoh) ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Abhishintsa Hum) Bestow the empowerment with the vase. ཧྲཱི༔ (Hrih) Just as the gods bathed the Buddha at his birth with divine water, so too do I now bestow empowerment upon you. ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥེ་ཀ་ཏ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཤྲཱི་ཡེ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Om Sarva Tathagata Abhishintsa ta Samaya Shriye Hum) Bestow the empowerment with the vase, the body is complete, and impurities are cleansed. From the remaining pure water, immeasurable light arises, manifesting as the Sambhogakaya form of Amitabha, adorning the crown of the head. Hold the six-syllable mantra. ཧྲཱི༔ (Hrih) The six-syllable mantra destroys the six afflictions, attains the six Buddha-bodies and the six Paramitas, purifies the six realms and the six abodes, and possesses the six liberations. May you receive the empowerment of the supreme six-syllable mantra. ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Om Mani Padme Hum) ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོཿ (Dzah Hum Bam Hoh) ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Abhishintsa Hum) Hold the mirror. ཧྲཱིཿཧཱུྃ༔ (Hrih Hum) Like the self-aware and self-illuminating mirror, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are illusory forms. May you receive the empowerment of the spontaneously accomplished, primordial purity, and the precious, equalizing Bodhicitta. ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Om Mani Padme Hum) ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོཿ (Dzah Hum Bam Hoh) ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Abhishintsa Hum) Sixth, give food and drink and show the way. Arrange all available food, drink, and desirable offerings. རྃ་ཡྃ་ཁྃ། (Rang Yang Khang) From emptiness, through the power of divine substances and samadhi, may the enjoyment of desirable objects arise, pacifying the desire and fear in the illusory appearances of the bardo, generating undefiled bliss, and becoming an inexhaustible treasure of the sky. Recite the mantra and mudra of the Akashagarbha, such as Nama Sarva, etc. ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ༔ (Om Ah Hum) Recite three times to bless. Recite the six-syllable mantra many times. First, offer to the Three Jewels and Dharma protectors, then dedicate the remaining offerings to the deceased, and finally visualize offering the remaining food to the six realms of beings and various obstacles. Namo! The essence with a hundred excellent flavors, the offerings of food and drink, and the ocean of endless wealth, may they fulfill your needs. Especially those loving and compassionate relatives, calling you with sorrowful cries, offering you the desired food and drink, blessed by the power of meditation and mantra. May you enjoy them with a joyful heart, without attachment, pacifying all hunger and thirst, and enjoying the glory of desires. May you receive this generosity and offering even after passing away from this world! May beautiful forms be seen by your eyes, may sweet sounds be heard by your ears, may fragrant scents be smelled by your nose, may delicious tastes be tasted by your tongue, may soft touches be felt by your body, may joy fill your mind! May you attain a perfect Sambhogakaya in the Bardo, adorned with marks and signs! Thus offer the desired objects and give guidance. If you can recite the complete guidance, then recite: From here to the east, there is the supreme pure land of Abhirati (Manifest Joy). Everything is of the nature of earth, there is no death in the earth. The life of sentient beings is earth, the essence of earth is Suṃ (Tibetan: སུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुं, Sanskrit Romanization: suṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Sum). Relying on it, may you also generate the supreme Bodhicitta, be born in that supreme pure land, and be inseparable from the Buddha Eye! From here to the south, there is the supreme pure land endowed with glory. Everything is of the nature of water, there is no death in the water. The life of sentient beings is water, the essence of water is Vaṃ (Tibetan: བཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Vam). Relying on it, may you also generate the supreme Bodhicitta, be born in that supreme pure land, and be inseparable from Mamaki! From here to the west, there is the supreme pure land of Sukhavati (Land of Bliss). Everything is of the nature of fire, there is no death in the fire. The life of sentient beings is fire, the essence of fire is Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ram). Relying on it, may you also generate the supreme Bodhicitta, be born in that supreme pure land, and be inseparable from Pandaravasini! From here to the north, there is the realm of complete action.
