Perform the ritual puja and protector practice. During the morning and evening sessions, perform the protector's tsok offering and other rituals as usual. In the morning session, recite the blessing of the mala, and three times the 'Explanation of the Meaning of Sounds, Clarity, and Foot Verses'; in the evening session, recite three times the 'Explanation of the Meaning of Sounds, Clarity, and Attached Verses,' etc., according to the usual ritual. Although the amount of practice is not clearly stated in this text, at the end of the outer practice of Mahayoga, it says: 'Recite hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of times; through recitation, siddhis will be accomplished as desired, and peaceful and other activities will be completed without hindrance.' Therefore, among the three types of counted recitations, the number recitation can be recited one hundred thousand times, or four hundred thousand times. If energetic, one can recite one million to ten million times. The time recitation can be inferred from the number. The sign recitation depends on the individual's capacity; the best can directly see the deity's form, hear the deity's voice, and generate realization, etc., and even the lowest will have auspicious dreams and other various signs, which need to be combined with personal experience. The key to practice is that, generally, one must obtain the essential points of the deity guidance of the new and old traditions, and especially, one must experience the profound guidance of the generation and completion stages of this path through practice, so that it is easy to realize. Those who have not received guidance can gain a general understanding of the generation and completion stages through learning and thinking, and especially need to understand the order of practice of the three yogas, and gain a firm understanding of the manifestation of the inseparability of oneself and the deity, the play of wisdom, in this Dharma. If even these are difficult to understand and the practice is not smooth, then one can first visualize a thangka or painted mandala as the basis of generation, visualize oneself and the deity connected like flames, recite a single mantra, and visualize clearly as if reflecting an image in a mirror, which is very important. If realization increases, then one can practice the support and supported as inseparable through entering the mandala practice or the deity's completion stage practice, which is reasonable and appropriate. Furthermore, the recitation visualization of the outer mandala of Mahayoga is: According to the recitation intention of the ritual text: ཧྲཱི༔ (藏文) hrīḥ (梵文天城体) hrih (梵文罗马拟音) ‘啥’(汉语字面意思) In this spontaneously pure palace, the peaceful and wrathful deities of Dharmakaya compassion, with various forms and attire, their heart-essence recitations sound naturally. From the unchanging heart, rays of light emanate, radiating outwards, perfecting the meaning of sentient beings, gathering inwards, collecting the essence of accomplishments, until signs appear, without interruption. Om Ah Hum Hrih, Om Mani Padme Hum, Om Padmantakritah Hayagriva Hum, is the heart-essence mantra of the peaceful and wrathful deities, the recitation intention, the recitation melody, practiced with number. Thus it is said. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
