Ah! All the merits, blessings, and powers of Samsara and Nirvana are integrated into the heart, giving rise to the invincible victory banner, the immutable life-tree of Vajra, the body as solid as a diamond, and the belief that life is as stable as the sun and moon. These are the causes for entering the Dharma. In order to request the actual empowerment, offer the Mandala and recite this prayer: 'Pray! Vajradhara, the great sovereign Guru, the main deity Amitabha, please grant the most secret longevity empowerment, please bestow complete grace!' After praying in this way, permission is granted: 'Ah! Fortunate and noble families, today you disciples will become inseparable from the protector Amitayus, listen attentively with one mind and respect!' Thus instructed. In the actual empowerment, first perform the gradual stages of with-form, without-form, and boundaries. First, the outer with-form vase empowerment, generate the following intention: Visualize yourselves as the body of the Bhagavan Immortal Protector, the main deity of the mandala, the Bhagavan Protector Amitayus, the Five Buddha Fathers empowering you with the five wisdoms. The Five Buddha Mothers, with precious vases filled with the nectar of immortal wisdom, empower the five places on your head, visualize the stream of nectar being immaculate, filling the entire body from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head. Holding the vase, recite: 'Hum! Bhagavan Five Families Amitayus, the secret supreme goddesses, from the mandala of body, speech, and mind, grant the empowerment of immortal life! From the secret mind Kapala, grant the essence of immutable life, please bestow it upon the fortunate disciples, obtain the seal of immutable secret!' The body is filled with the essence of all sentient and insentient beings, including the life force of gods, nagas, and humans. The remaining water overflows upwards, forming a vortex at the five places on the head, visualize the Five Buddha Families, with Amitabha as the main deity, blessing you with a crown ornament. Praise with the Vajra song of the four doors: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་སུ་སཾ་གྲ་ཧ་ད་བཛྲ་རཏྣ་མ་ནུཏྟ་ར་དྷརྨ་གཱ་ཡ་ནཱི་བཛྲ་ཀརྨ་ཀ་རོྟབྷ་བེ་དྷེ་ཝ་ཤཱནྟི་ཀྲོ་ཏ་རཱ་ཛ༔ Wrathful deities dispel obstacles: སརྦ་བིགྷྣཱན་ཏ་ཀྲྀཏ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ༔ May Bodhisattvas pronounce auspiciousness: May auspiciousness reside in the hearts of sentient beings, may all sentient beings be of supreme nature, like the joy of the progenitors, may this empowerment bestow supreme auspiciousness today! ཨོཾ་སུ་པྲ་ཏིཥྛ་བཛྲཱ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། Scatter flowers! Thus, through the vase empowerment with elaboration, the impurities of the body are purified, one has the authority to meditate on the deity's form, and remember that all the deity's ornaments appear as the self-nature of the wisdom illusion net. Second, the secret empowerment without elaboration: Visualize the Lama Amitayus (Tshe dpag med) and the five Buddha parents in union, from their secret place descends Kunda Bodhicitta, the nectar of immortal life, inseparably mixed with the essence of the skull cup, and offered to your tongues. Accept the blessing of the skull cup nectar. Hum! ཚེ་དཔག་མེད་མགོན་ཡབ་ཡུམ་མཁའ་གསང་ནས༔ From the secret place of the protector Amitayus and his consort, བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་ཀྱི་འཕྲོ་འདུ་ལས༔ From the radiance of Bodhicitta, གསང་བ་ངག་ལ་དབང་སྐུར་བས༔ By empowering the secret speech, མི་འགྱུར་ཚེ་ཡི་དབང་ཐོབ་ཤོག༔ May you obtain the empowerment of unchanging life. ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་ཨ་མཱ་ར་ཎི་ཛཱི་བནྟི་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཡུ་ཥེ་ཝཱ་ཀ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཨཱ༔ By tasting the nectar, all the channels are filled with the essence of immortal nectar, the thoughts of the three poisons of afflictions cease, and the wisdom of bliss arises. Believe in this. Recite the heart mantra three times, and finally stabilize it by scattering flowers. Thus, through the secret empowerment without elaboration, including the subsequent permission of the mantra, the impurities of speech are purified, one has the authority to recite mantras, the channels mature into wisdom, and the five chakras are purified into the self-nature of the five Buddha families and the five wisdoms.
