To the east, the white Garuda; to the south, Ratna (རཏྣ་, Jewel) Garuda, with a yellow body; to the west, Padma (པདྨ་, Lotus) Garuda, with a red body; to the north, Karma (ཀརྨ་, Action) Garuda, with a green body. All of them have the eyes of a vulture, copper horns, iron beaks and claws, and wings of fire. They are extremely fierce and terrifying. With their hands, they devour all the nagas, evil spirits, disease lords, and plague lords. They make the sound of 'krang krang,' and their heads are adorned with sun, moon, and jewels. From within the flames of wisdom, which burn in successive colors, emanate hundreds of thousands of millions of their own manifestations, surrounding them as they dwell. On the foreheads of all of them is Oṃ (ཨོཾ，oṃ，oṃ，Perfection), on their throats is Ā (ཨཱ，ā，ā，Generation), in the hearts of the wrathful ones is Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ，hūṃ，hūṃ，Subjugation), in the hearts of the Garudas is Kroṃ (ཁྲོཾ，kroṃ，kroṃ，Emptiness), and in the hearts of the dakinis is Bhyo (བྷྱོ，bhyo，bhyo，Transcendence). From these, rays of light emanate, from the sacred site of Zangdok Palri, from the five-peaked mountain of China, from the charnel ground of powerful dominion, from the burning peak of Mount Meru, from the eight great charnel grounds, and from the boundless realms of the ten directions, Glorious Guru, in an extremely wrathful form, descends with his retinue like a great cloud driven by the wind.
