‘Grihna Raksha Raksha Idam’ (Direct translation: Grasp, protect, protect, this). Then give the oath water: ‘Hūṃ! This oath is the Vajra water, which will be given to you, the disciple. If you protect it, it is nectar; if you break it, it is poison. This supreme secret blessing, if spoken to someone without vows outside this place, this water will first purify you, and then cause you to fall into hell in the next life. Oṃ Vajra Udaka Ṭha Ṭha Svāhā! Samaya Naraka Idam Si Hūṃ!’ Then, in order to bestow wisdom, contemplate the disciple's form as follows: ‘Hūṃ! The five aggregates, elements, and sources are all emptiness. On a lotus and moon seat, the disciple's form is Padmasambhava, white and radiant, holding a vajra and bell, with the attire of the Sambhogakaya, adorned with silk and various jewels, marked with Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡), Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: 阿), and Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) at the three places, enjoying the joyful dance in a half-lotus posture. From the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) syllable in my heart and the seed syllable in the disciple's heart, various rays of light emanate, illuminating the ten directions. From immeasurable and boundless pure lands, the assembly of Buddhas as vast as the ocean, like rain pouring into the sea, dissolves into the disciple's crown. Bless their body, speech, and mind. Hūṃ! From the vast expanse of all-pervading great bliss, please, Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri, bestow your blessings! From the densely arranged pure land, please, Vajradhara, bestow your blessings! From the western pure land of Great Bliss, please, Amitabha, bestow your blessings! From the Potala Palace, please, Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara, bestow your blessings! From the pure land of the Rakshasa continent, please, Padmasambhava, bestow your blessings! From the palace of bliss-emptiness illusion, please, Yeshe Tsogyal, bestow your blessings! From all self-nature pure places, please, immeasurable Buddhas, gurus, yidams, and dakinis, bestow your blessings to this supreme place!’ ‘Hūṃ! Although not moving from the self-nature Dharmadhatu, with skillful means and compassion, you emanate various forms, manifesting peaceful and wrathful appearances, please bestow your blessings to this supreme place!’ The adornment of the body of phenomenal existence pervades, bless the disciple's body! The natural sound of Dharma roars like thunder, bless the disciple's speech! Various bindus of clear light awareness appear, bless the disciple's mind! The three—sound, light, and rays—are beyond thought, bless the disciple's aggregates and elements! Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Guru Deva Ḍākinī Sarva Tathāgata Vajra Samaya Dza Dza! Hūṃ Hūṃ! Pheṃ Pheṃ! Rā Rā Rā Rā! Tsā Lāya Tsā Lāya! Toṣāya Toṣāya! Āveśāya A Ā!’ Then, recite the heart mantra, bestow blessings, and give clear instructions. Trembling, feeling warm and joyful, and hair standing on end are signs of descent. To stabilize, place the vajra on the crown: ‘Deva Tiṣṭha Vajra Hūṃ! Kaya Tiṣṭha Vajra Hūṃ!’ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
