The nature of samsara is impermanent, therefore it is not trustworthy. In particular, negative actions tainted with defilements lead to the suffering of the three lower realms. Merely hearing about these sufferings is enough to cause terror. Even if one is born in the heavenly realms, it will give rise to all the aspects of suffering associated with that. We have accumulated nothing but negative actions, so we cannot escape the cycle of samsara. Whether born in the higher or lower realms of samsara, it is nothing but the accumulation of suffering, the welcoming of suffering, the torment of suffering, and the nature of suffering. Therefore, like a criminal escaping from prison, we must generate a genuine, not artificial, determination to be liberated from samsara. This is the third point of contemplation. The only ones who can save us from such terrifying suffering of samsara are the Three Jewels. Therefore, we should take refuge and rely solely on the Three Jewels, thinking, 'I will seek refuge in the Three Jewels.' Visualize: this place becomes the nature of jewels, as flat as the palm of one's hand, a wish-fulfilling tree grows luxuriantly, with branches extending to the center and the four directions. On the central trunk, on a vast and high throne, sits the root guru, above whom are the lineage gurus, arranged in a tiered manner, embodying the essence of all the Three Jewels. On the branches extending to the four directions, in front are the special deities (yidam), on the right are the common Buddhas such as Shakyamuni, in the back is the Dharma Jewel in the form of stacked scriptures, and on the left are the common Sangha, including Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas. Around these holy beings, visualize the special Sangha, including dakinis and Dharma protectors, gathered like clouds. Visualize yourself surrounded by countless beings, like the dust of the earth, without any distinction of friend or foe. Lead them, with intense devotion and longing, to take refuge. Recite: 'Namo (藏文,梵文天城体,namo,梵文罗马拟音,Homage),' repeat until satisfied. Finally, visualize light radiating from the bodies of the refuge objects, purifying the sins and obscurations of yourself and others. All beings reach pure lands. The refuge objects dissolve into light and merge into oneself. Then dedicate the merit. When sleeping, do not disturb the object of contemplation, sleep facing the direction of the object, and fall asleep with this faith. This is the fourth point of contemplation. These countless beings pervading the sky have been our parents countless times in the past. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although they are all kind relatives who have given favors, they do not recognize each other as parents and children, just as a mad dog does not recognize its owner. Although everyone wants desire and happiness, what they do is the root of suffering, and their thoughts and actions are completely reversed. These mad people are truly pitiful. For them, I think like searching for a rope with the relics of my mother who was washed away by the flood, relying on this profound path to accomplish the state of Buddhahood, and lead all sentient beings to liberation and eternal happiness. Thinking like this in my heart, I say from the bottom of my heart, 'ཧོ༔ དེང་ནས་བཟུང་སྟེ་(Hūṃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanization: hūṃ, Seed Syllable)From now on,' and so on, and combine the coming and going of breath with the giving and receiving of suffering and happiness, and finally relax slightly in the state of non-attachment and dedicate. This is the fifth contemplation guide. Second, regarding the uncommon preliminaries, there are also three contemplation guides: On the lotus, sun, and moon mandala above one's head, visualize a white ཧཱུྃ་(Hūṃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanization: hūṃ, Seed Syllable)syllable. From this syllable, rays of light radiate, gather, and completely transform, becoming Vajrasattva, whose body is white, with one face and two arms, holding a vajra at his heart with his right hand and a bell at his waist with his left hand, embracing a yum similar to himself. He wears all the ornaments made of silk and jewels, sitting in the bodhisattva posture (satvasana). In his heart, visualize a lotus and moon, on which there is an upright white vajra, with a white ཧཱུྃ་(Hūṃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanization: hūṃ, Seed Syllable)syllable in the center of the vajra, surrounded by a string of hundred-syllable mantra. By reciting the hundred-syllable mantra, nectar flows down from the mantra in his heart and all parts of his body, like a torrential rain, entering from the brahmarandhra. All diseases, demons, sins, and obstacles are discharged from the senses and pores in the form of pus, blood, tiny creatures, and smoke. Visualize one's body as pure as a crystal ball, completely filled with nectar. Finally, with strong regret, pray, 'Lord, I do not understand,' and so on. Vajrasattva says from his mouth, 'Good son, your sins and obstacles have been purified.' Then he gives blessings and merges into oneself, visualizing the emptiness of the three spheres (tri-mandala), maintaining the natural state, and dedicating. This is the first contemplation guide. In the space in front, clearly visualize the mandala of the merit field like the refuge field. The mandala of offering is a mandala made of jewels, etc. If not, clean the ground and smear it with perfume and cow dung water. Arrange thirty-seven or seven piles of flowers, and visualize the inner and outer worlds filled with the enjoyment and perfection of gods and humans, reciting: 'རིན་ཆེན་ས་གཞི་ཞ(Precious ground).' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
