The characteristic is: In the naturally occurring wisdom of original purity and primordial awareness, recognizing the intention of the exhaustion of phenomena (chos zad), thereby transforming samsara into dharmakaya and attaining enlightenment, manifesting the fruition of the four kayas, free from the dualistic clinging of hope and fear. That is to say, although aware, it is not distracted; although clear, it is not attached; although non-conceptual, the appearance of objects does not cease due to the power of awareness. Thus, one is liberated from the three minds of the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm. During meditation, the mind neither expands nor contracts, but remains naturally. This non-conceptual state of emptiness is shamatha (zhi gnas). Awareness is clear, pure, naked, and transparently manifest; this state of appearance is vipashyana (lhag mthong). The union of shamatha and vipashyana is meditation. Third, the subsequent guidance of generating certainty by introducing the nature of reality as it is: The texts that introduce through the four aspects of view, meditation, conduct, and result can be consulted separately. The most important thing is to listen carefully to the meaning of the arising of experience from a lama who possesses oral instructions and experience, as well as the elimination of obstacles and aids to how experience arises. Before liberation from the perilous path of realization, one should strive to cut off doubts and increase the power of wisdom impartially. Thus, after obtaining the permission of the incomparable and kindest supreme guru, Dharma Protector (chos dpal), with mediocre qualifications, summarized the profound meaning in concise language for the understanding of those with inferior intelligence, and completed and published it on the tenth day of the waxing moon of the Tibetan New Year. If there are any errors, may the gurus, yidams, protectors, and dakini assemblies forgive them. May this merit liberate my own mindstream and enable me to liberate limitless beings to the state of primordial liberation. May all be auspicious! (Sanskrit Devanagari), sarba mangalam (Sanskrit Romanization), May all be auspicious! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
