HRIH: Bestow the empowerment of speech, and stabilize it with the vajra. May you accomplish this aspiration for the subsequent permission. Visualize yourself and the lama in front of you as Padmasambhava, marked with a white OM at the crown of the head, a red AH at the throat, and a blue HUNG at the heart. From the OM at the lama's forehead, immeasurable white light radiates, inviting the mandala of the bodies of all the Buddhas of the ten directions. It dissolves into the crown of your head, purifying the sins of the body. Imagine that the nectar of the accomplishment of the body fills your body. Place the flower of praise on the crown of your head, and recite: HRIH, precious source of all blessings! O venerable Padmasambhava, grant to this fortunate child of lineage the unchangeable empowerment of the body! At the end of the mantra: KAYA ABHISHINCA OM. Imagine that from the vast realms of the three bodies of the Buddhas, and especially from the Copper-Colored Mountain of Glory, the assembly of deities of the lama Guru dissolves into your body in the form of five-colored rays of light, blessing you. By this, you receive the subsequent permission of the body, have the authority to meditate on the deity of the body, and become a powerful seed of the Nirmanakaya. Visualize that from the AH at the lama's throat, red light radiates, inviting the mandala of the speech of all the Buddhas of the ten directions. It dissolves into your throat, purifying the sins of speech. Imagine that the nectar of the accomplishment of speech fills your body. Place the mala on your throat, and recite: HRIH, precious source of all blessings! O venerable Padmasambhava, grant to this fortunate child of lineage the unobstructed empowerment of speech! At the end of the mantra: VAKA ABHISHINCA AH. To receive the transmission of recitation related to this, visualize as follows: From the white HRIH at the heart of yourself and the lama in front of you, a mantra garland made of light emerges from the mouth like one lamp lighting another. It enters the mouth of the disciple, who is visualized as a deity. Imagine the garland of mantras arranged around the HRIH at the heart, and then repeat after me. Have them repeat the heart mantra three times. By this, you receive the subsequent permission of speech, have the authority to recite the heart mantra of speech, and become a powerful seed of the Sambhogakaya. Visualize that from the HUNG at the heart of yourself and the lama in front of you, blue light radiates, inviting the mandala of the mind of all the Buddhas of the ten directions. It dissolves into your heart, purifying the sins of the mind. Imagine that the nectar of the accomplishment of the mind fills your body. Place the image of the body on the crown of your head and at your heart, and recite: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Source of blessings, precious one! O, Jetsun Pema Guru! Bestow the unerring mind empowerment upon this fortunate son of lineage. Mantra ending: ཙིཏྟ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ། (Tibetan); चित्त अभिषिञ्च हुं (Sanskrit Devanagari); citta abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Sanskrit Romanization); mind, empower, hūṃ (Literal Chinese meaning) Visualize that from the sky above, a rainbow-colored wisdom being descends, enters through the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head, and stably dwells as a wisdom deity in the center of the heart. Thereby, receive the mind's permission, gain the power to meditate on the mind's samadhi, and make the seed of the Dharmakaya powerful. Torma (Sacrificial cake): Visualize that from the four places of the body of the Lama Pema Guru, countless white, red, blue, and green rays of light radiate, inviting the complete mandala of body, speech, and mind of all the Buddhas of the ten directions, which dissolve into your three places, purifying the sins of the three doors equally. Visualize that the nectar of the three secrets fills the body with various colors. Place the Torma on the head and recite: (Tibetan) Source of blessings, precious one! O, Jetsun Pema Guru! Bestow the complete empowerment of the four bodies upon this fortunate son of lineage. Mantra ending: སརྦ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan); सर्व अभिषिञ्च ह्रीः (Sanskrit Devanagari); sarva abhiṣiñca hrīḥ (Sanskrit Romanization); all, empower, hrīḥ (Literal Chinese meaning) With devotion, visualize that the Torma, clear as a deity, dissolves into light and merges into you, becoming non-dual. If there is time, recite auspicious prayers between each permission. Even if abbreviated, be sure to recite auspicious prayers and the mantra सुप्रतिष्ठ (Sanskrit Devanagari); supratiṣṭha (Sanskrit Romanization); well established (Literal Chinese meaning) here, and scatter flowers. Give a portion of the Torma, along with the nectar, as accomplishment. Thereby, receive the complete permission of body, speech, and mind, gain the power to meditate on the yoga of indivisible union of the three doors, and make the seed of the Svabhavikakaya powerful. Then, make the connection as usual, and vow to keep the commitments, offer the mandala, etc., as is common. Again, make offerings, and request blessings. Make offerings and praises to the front generation, and confess. If the wisdom being has a support, request it to remain. If not, request it to depart and gather the commitment being into oneself. Perform the gathering and radiating of the self-generation deity, dedicate the merit, and recite auspicious prayers. By performing it according to the sadhana, it will be accomplished. This is all the constant goodness and glory, which arise from the diligent practice of the Lama. This is the essence of clarified butter extracted from the ocean of practice. This is the profound terma of Pema Guru, a section of the sadhana with permission from the Seven Reversals. May auspiciousness increase! Particularly praised is the practice of Bhagavan Akshobhya, which purifies karmic obscurations. Merely holding the name purifies beginningless karmic obscurations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
