Guru, source of blessings, I take refuge! Guru, essence of the three kāyas (身), I take refuge! Yidam (本尊) deity, bestowing siddhis (成就), I take refuge! Supreme bliss, assembly of the great wheel, I take refuge! Khaḍro (空行母), dispelling obstacles, I take refuge! Assembly of the five classes of Khaḍros of the three places, I take refuge! Buddha, accomplishing the two benefits, I take refuge! Sugata (善逝), master of the four kāyas (身), I take refuge! Holy Dharma (法), inseparable from the two truths, I take refuge! May the union of Mahāmudrā (大手印) be realized, grant blessings! May the four kāyas (身) be manifested, grant blessings! May siddhis (成就) be attained in this life, grant blessings! Recite three times. Visualize the refuge dissolving into oneself. Fifth, setting boundaries: With the pride of the deity, say: Hūṃ! Fortunate yogis and yoginīs! In this profound path of the Guru's blessings, Obstacles and unfavorable conditions due to lack of devotion, Are cut off by the power of the Guru's blessings! Are cut off by the power of the Yidam's (本尊) blessings! Are cut off by the power of the Ḍākinīs' (空行母) blessings!
