And sins like fish, frogs, snakes, and lice, bedbugs, and so on, appear in the forms of various living beings. All defilements and obscurations emerge as smoke, oil, and coal ash from all pores and sensory organs, sinking beneath nine layers of earth. One's own body becomes like a flawless crystal ball. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra and the essence mantra. Again, offer the prayer: 'Due to my ignorance and delusion, I have transgressed and broken my vows.' 'May the Lama, the Protector, grant refuge!' 'Chief Vajradhara, possessor of great compassion,' 'I, the leader of beings, seek refuge!' 'Ho! Vajrasattva, please listen!' 'I have disobeyed the Buddhas' commands and the Lamas' words, and have offended the Guru by not acting according to their instructions.' 'I confess and repent all root and branch vows, without concealing or hiding anything.' 'I take upon myself and acknowledge the vows of body, speech, and mind, the vows to be practiced, and the five vows that should not be abandoned.' 'I confess and repent all twenty-eight vows, without concealing or hiding anything.' 'Furthermore, towards parents, Khenpos, Acharyas, fellow Dharma brothers and sisters, and sentient beings of the three realms, I confess and repent all the deeds of the five heinous crimes, without concealing or hiding anything.' 'I confess and repent for missing auspicious days such as the eighth and fifteenth, for wrong views arising in practice and meditation, for not performing ablutions and purifications, and for failures due to laziness.' 'I confess and repent for engaging in defilements and mixing with impure substances, and for all violations of the three vows due to knowing and heedless actions, may they be purified from this very day!' Upon saying this, the glorious Vajrasattva said: 'Son of the lineage, from this day forward, the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings, led by you, are purified!' Having spoken these words distinctly, he dissolved into me, becoming inseparable. Third, for purifying the obscurations of the mind, confessing the view of emptiness: Oh! I and all sentient beings have always dwelt in the realm of the great play of Dharmata, without inner or outer distinctions. There is no self or other, and even the names of gods and demons do not exist, and the duality of good and evil, acceptance and rejection, samsara and nirvana, is nonexistent. All phenomena with characteristics are primordially liberated, clear and transparent. This very self-aware mind, without any fixed identity, is it. However, due to not realizing this, thoughts arise, and coarse and subtle concepts develop, and due to the power of clinging to reality, negative karma is accumulated, and the wheel of various happiness and suffering is turned, how pitiful! Therefore, one should rest in the state of uncorrected, spontaneously accomplished Great Perfection. Ah, Ah, Ah! Next is the confession of Suchness: Om, the supreme wisdom body, the self-existing mandala, like the full moon, is free from elaboration, yet... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
