With its force, it pervades roughness, coldness, and heat. Crystal is white and transparent, like ice. Because it is extremely cold, it can quell all singular augmentations. There are six methods of combining camphor with it: like a wild man, walking alone; like a warrior, adorned with armor; like a princess, seeking a gentle union; like a messenger, reconciling enemies and friends; like a general, surrounded by retinue; like a prince, 25-541 displaying in assembly. First, camphor (if camphor is like a king, and does not have cardamom as a minister, its rough power will turn to heat. As said in the "Garland of Instructions.") dissolved in water with cardamom, it is best at suppressing the powerful force of augmentation, like the descent of thunder. Second, adorning it with armor, which is sandalwood for disturbances, white datura for epidemics, changing the taste, adding sugar, and pouring snow water. This is called the camphor king and ministers three flavors, which can quickly quell disturbances, epidemics, and the augmentation of heat. Third, in the camphor king and ministers three flavors, adding saffron stamen to make five flavors; adding musk and bear bile to make seven flavors, with its gentleness, it neither disturbs the wind nor quells the heat.
