The first situation is when pregnancy reaches one month, and the characteristics of the male and female reproductive organs begin to appear. At this time, parents develop attachment and aversion. Then, semen and blood appear inside the reproductive organs. The pregnant woman experiences back pain, craves sour things, sheds many tears, has a poor appetite, desires various foods, and often vomits on an empty stomach. Various diseases may occur. At this time, avoid taking afternoon naps and avoid counting. Provide the food she craves, and abstain from horse, donkey, and bird meat. Avoid strenuous or slow movements, and rest moderately in a dry place. Treat any illness that arises with appropriate remedies. Failure to deliver the fetus is divided into two types: live fetus and stillbirth. A live fetus requires inducing labor and preventing fetal atrophy. Inducing labor involves exorcism and medication, or two, three, or five methods. Perform abdominal massage, open the pulse points, and administer medicine mixed with alcohol. Combine the medicine with specific times and perform bloodletting. Fetuses under seven months are certain to be expelled. Preventing fetal atrophy is divided into three methods: external, internal, and intermediate. First, if the fetus has not detached from the internal organs, take the pubic hair of a man and the hair of a woman, burn them to ashes, and mix them with three medicines: camphor, antelope horn, and rhinoceros horn. Grind them into powder, mix with alcohol, and administer, then fumigate. Alternatively, use the "arrow-pulling" method, taking camphor, arrow shafts, and arrow feathers. If it is ineffective, administer rhododendron root juice and barley beer. Or mix fried barley flour with honey. Adding bear bile and hair ash and administering it will stop the bleeding. Or add bear bile and cinnamon and administer it. Or mix hen feather ash with honey. Add sugarcane husk ash and administer it after mixing. Burn sixteen fish glues soaked in clean water. Perform oiling, massage, incense burning, fumigation, and consume brown sugar, barley beer, and bone broth.
