Meditate like a vulture, abandoning attachment, clinging, hope, and fear. "Do not seek suffering in the branches of happiness" means: If the patron falls ill and dies, offerings will accumulate; if Dharma friends and companions die, scriptures and statues will come; if someone like oneself dies, one thinks, "I alone will gain merit"; if an enemy dies, one thinks, "Ah, how wonderful!" In short, abandon the thought of hoping that others will suffer and be displeased for one's own happiness. Seventh, the Precepts of Mind Training. The seventh precept of mind training is: "Do all yogas with one." This means that the yoga of food, the yoga of clothing, the yoga of sleep, the yoga of sitting meditation, etc., all of these should be done solely with the mind of benefiting others. "Do all reversals with one." This means that if, during practice, there are many illnesses, harm, hatred from others, or if afflictions seem to increase with practice, then the practice is reversed. For all these adversities, the only antidote is to think that all the unpleasantness and suffering of all sentient beings are gathered on this unpleasantness, and to practice only the antidote of exchanging self and others. "At the beginning and the end, there are two actions for both." This means cultivating a strong aspiration in the morning to not be stained by the defilements of wrongdoing today; in the evening, observing whether that day has been stained, and if no wrongdoing has occurred, cultivating joy, and if it has occurred, confessing and vowing not to repeat it. During the day, repeatedly recall it. "Endure whichever of the two occurs." This means that whatever suffering, unpleasantness, or decline occurs, one should think that it is the result of past karma, and not complain or be discouraged. One should accept all the sins and sufferings of others and strive to take measures to purify obscurations. When enduring suffering and obtaining happiness, one should not be indulgent or indifferent, but should use wealth for virtuous deeds, transform power into virtuous actions, and pray that all sentient beings have happiness, thereby enduring happiness. "Protect the two with your life." This means protecting all common Dharma precepts, as well as the precepts needed for mind training, and not doing anything without mixing in thoughts of self-interest. "Train in the three difficulties." This means that it is difficult to recognize afflictions at first, so as soon as an affliction arises
